RESUMEN

A field experiment was conducted during Rabi 2022 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, SHUATS, Prayagraj (U.P) to study the ”Effect of Nitrogen Rates and Foliar Spray of Urea Application and Nano Urea on Yield and Economics of rabi Maize (Zea mays L.)”effect of three nitrogen rates (50%, 75% and 100% RDN ) and three foliar spray of urea viz 20000 PPM (2%) and nano urea viz 2000 PPM (2 ml/L) and 4000 PPM (4ml/L) application on yield and economics of rabi maize (Zea mays L.). The soil of experimental plot was sandy loam texture, nearly neutral in soil reaction (pH 7.1), low in organic carbon (0.28%), available N (225kg/ha), available P (19.50) kg/ha) and available K (92 kg/ha). The experiment consists of 10 treatment, each being replicated thrice and laid out in Randomized Block Design. The results of present investigation revealed that the highest Grain yield (6.41 t/ha), Stover yield (8.65 t/ha), Harvest Index (42.58), Maximum gross return (INR 1,28266.67), Net return (81,682.75) and B:C ration (1.75) under 100% RDN +4000ppm (4 ml/l) spray of nano urea.

RESUMEN

The field experiment was carried out during the Zaid season of 2022 at the Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (U.P.) India. To study the response of sulphur and zinc on the growth and yield of Pearl millet. The treatments consist of sulphur @ 20, 30 and 40 kg/ha and zinc @ 5, 10 and15 kg/ha. There were 9 treatments each replicated thrice. The soil of the experimental plot was sandy loamy in texture, nearly neutral in soil reaction (pH 7.8), low in organic carbon (0.35%), available N (163.42 kg/ha), available P (21.96 kg/ha) and available K (256.48 kg/ha). Results revealed that the higher plant height (198.06 cm), plant dry weight (75.83 g/plant), crop growth rate (47.70 g/m2 /day), ear head length (25.2 cm), grains/ear head (2006.0), test weight (8.57 gm), higher grain yield (40.95 q/ha) and higher stover yield (40.95 q/ha) were significantly influenced with the application of sulphur 40 kg/ha + zinc 15 kg/ha. Higher gross returns (INR 92145.00/ha), higher net returns (INR 62365.00/ha) and a higher B: C ratio (2.09) were also recorded in treatment-9 (sulphur 40 kg/ha+zinc 15 kg/ha).

RESUMEN

A field experiment was carried out at an agricultural research farm in the Rabi season 2022, at the department of Agronomy at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj in North Eastern plains of Eastern Uttar Pradesh to study the growth and yield of Mustard (Brassica juncea L.) Var. with the effect of potassium and zinc, under Randomized block design comprising 10 treatments of which treatment (T1-T9), Using three replications of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc with different combinations T1 – 30 kg K/ha + 5 kg Zn/ha, T2 – 30 kg K/ha + 10 kg Zn/ha, T3 – 30 kg K/ha + 15 kg Zn/ha, T4 – 40 kg K/ha + 5 kg Zn/ha, T5 – 40 kg K/ha + 10 kg Zn/ha, T6 – 40 kg K/ha + 15 kg Zn/ha, T7 – 50 kg K/ha + 5 kg Zn/ha, T8- 50 kg K/ha + 10 kg Zn/ha, T9 – 50 kg K/ha + 15 kg Zn/ha and T10 – Control. The exploratory plot’s soil had a sandy loam texture, a (pH 7.2) that was natural with EC - 0.26 (dS/m), a low organic carbon (0.48 %), the available N (225 kg/ha), the available P (13.60 kg/ha) and the available K (215.4 kg/ha). The experimental results revealed that 50 kg K/ha + 15 kg Zn/ha recorded Maximum plant height (193.45 cm), The highest plant dry weight (35.25 gm), number of siliqua/plant (302.20), number of seeds/siliqua (17.60), Seed yield (2685 kg/ha), Stover yield (6143 kg/ha) when compared with other treatment combinations.

RESUMEN

A Field experiment was conducted during Zaid 2022 with a goal to evaluate the effect of date of sowing and integrated nitrogen management on growth and yield of summer groundnut (Arachis hypogaea). The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with ten treatments each replicated thrice at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj - 211007, (U.P.) which is located at 25.28oN latitude, 81.54oE longitude and 98 m altitude above the Mean Sea Level (MSL) for 100 days. The soil of experimental plot was sandy loam in texture, nearly neutral in soil reaction (pH 7.4), low in organic carbon (0.58%), available N (225 kg.ha-1), available P (32.30 kg.ha-1) and available K (350 kg.ha-1). The treatment consists of 5 levels of INM [100% RDN through inorganic, 100% RDN through FYM, 100% RDN through Vermicompost, 50% RDN (inorganic) + 50% RDN (FYM), 50% RDN (inorganic) + 50% RDN (Vermicompost)] as basal application and 2 Dates of Sowing (1st and 15th April), whose effect was observed on groundnut. The result showed that growth parameters of Groundnut viz., maximum plant height (72.00 cm), dry weight (41.54 g/plant), crop growth rate (15.05 g/m2/day), relative growth rate (0.014 g/g/day) and yield and yield attributes viz., number of pods/plant (48.00), number of seeds/pod (2.13), seed index (43.66 g), seed yield (3.14 t/ha), haulm yield (7.03 t/ha) and harvest index (30.62%) was recorded significantly higher with application of treatment 5 S1(1ST April) + 50% RDN (inorganic) + 50% RDN (Vermicompost). The maximum net returns (90,793 ₹/ha) and B:C ratio (2.73) was recorded with application of S1(1ST April) + 50% RDN (inorganic) + 50% RDN (Vermicompost).

RESUMEN

A field experiment was carried out in Zaid 2022 at the Department of Agronomy's Agricultural Research Farm in Prayagraj (U.P).The three planting geometries used in the experiment are 30 cm x 10 cm, 40 cm x 10 cm, and 50 cm x 10 cm. There are three nitrogen management treatments used in the experiment: 50% of the Recommended Dose of Nitrogen (RDN) through inorganic fertiliser, 50% of the RDN through inorganic fertiliser in combination with 50% of Nitrogen provided through FYM with Azotobacter seed inoculation, and 50% of the RDN through inorganic fertiliser. Ten treatments were duplicated three times in the randomised block design of the experiment. Findings showed that 30x10cm spacing ,Maximum plant height (124.48 cm), dry weight (29.85 g), number of capsules/plant (78.69), number of seeds/capsule (36.39), and seed yield (552.38 kg/ha) were obtained with 5% RDN + 50% N via FYM + Biofertilizer (Azotobacter).

Background: Pearl millet [Pennisetum glaucum (L.) is a significant food and livestock crop in the semi-arid tropics. Pearl millet is a crucial part of the nation's food security because of its capacity to thrive in drier and less fertile regions, where other grains have a comparative disadvantage. Objectives: Effect of potassium and plant growth regulators on growth parameters and yield of pearl millet Methods: With the goal of the study effect of potassium and plant growth regulators on growth and yield of Pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum L.) Var. NBH- 5658 under a Randomized block design(RBD) with 10 treatments (T1-T10) The experiment's findings showed that a potassium concentration of 60 kg/ha combined with an NAA concentration of 100 ppm and a triacontanol concentration of 500 ppm led to the highest plant height (221.20 cm), dry weight (49.42 cm), and yield parameters for ear head length (20.50 cm), number of grains per ear head (1970), Test weight (9.38 g), grain yield (2.72 t/ha), and stover yield (3.78 t/ha). Conclusion: Farmers found that using potassium at a rate of 60 kg/ha in conjunction with NAA at a concentration of 100 ppm and Triacontanol at a concentration of 500 ppm produced the best results, with plant dimensions of (221.20 cm) in height, (49.42 gm) in plant dry weight, (1972) grains per ear head, (9.38 g) test weight, (2.68 ta/ha) in grain yield, and (3.26 ta/ha) in stover yields, respectively.

RESUMEN

A field experiment was conducted during summer season of 2022 at Crop Research Farm (CRF). Department of Agronomy, SHUATS, Prayagraj (UP) on soil with sandy loam in texture with Organic carbon 0.48%, Available Nitrogen 278.93 Kg/ha, Available Phosphorus 19.03 Kg/ha, Available Potassium 238.1 Kg/ha, Soil Ph 7.4, EC 0.47 ds/m to investigate the effect ofrrigation scheduling and foliar organic nutrition on growth and yield of Zaid Groundnut. The treatments consist of three irrigation schedulings viz., I1: 3 irrigations (25,45,70 DAS), I2: 2 irrigations (25,45 DAS), I3: 2 irrigations (25,70 DAS) and three foliar organic nutrition F1 – Panchagavya at 3%, F2 – Jeevamrutha at 3%, F3 – Panchamrutha at 3% whose effect is observed on Groundnut (var. Kadiri-6). The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with ten treatments replicated thrice. The treatment with application of 3 irrigations (25,45,70 DAS) + panchagavya-3% recorded significantly higher plant height (60.07cm) and plant dry weight (39.62 g), number of pods per plant (20.33), number of kernels per pod (2.47), seed index (39.84 g), pod yield (2.85 t/ha) and haulm yield (4.4 t/ha) compared to other treatment combinations. It is concluded that 3 irrigations (25,45,70 DAS) and panchagavya-3% accomplished better growth parameters, yield attributes and higher pod yield in groundnut crop

Mo 1 kg, 1.5 kg and 2 kg/ha and three levels of Sulphur viz. 10, 20 and 30 kg/ha. The soil of the experimental plot was sandy loam in texture, nearly neutral in soil reaction (pH 7.1), low in organic carbon (0.28 %), available N (225 kg/ha), available P (19.50 kg/ha) and available K (92 kg/ha). Ten treatments were replicated thrice and laid out in Randomized Block Design. The results revealed that treatment nine (Molybdenum2kg/ha+ Sulphur 30kg/ha) recorded significantly higher plant height (42.54 cm), number of branches/plants (6.93), number of leaves/plants (15.00), plant dry weight (5.27 g), number of nodules/plants (20.60), number of pods/plant (27.6), number of seeds/pod (9.53), seed yield (1.25 t/ha), stover yield (2.87), harvest index (30.3%), gross returns (87500.00), net returns (47281.52)and B:C ratio (1.18) as compared to other treatments.
