RESUMEN
Extramedullary plasmacytoma of head and neck region is an uncommon malignant lesion with a propensity to involve upper respiratory tract. By its biological nature, it differs from solitary plasmacytoma of bone and myelomatosis. It is a distinctly separate clinical and pathological entity. local megavoltage radiation therapy is the treatment of choice, with salvage surgery for the persistent lesion. A report of two cases involving base of tongue, and soft palate with a brief review of the literature is presented
