La Unidad De Cuidados Intensivos es un lugar en el cual se ofrece servicios de alta complejidad, porque la situación de estar crítica mente enfermo, así lo amerita, por tal motivo los familiares se ven sometidos a una gran variedad de cambios y necesidades pobremente satisfechas que generan sensaciones de angustia, tensión e incertidumbre, creando una serie de situaciones que son indispensables reconocerlas e identificarlas para así poder suplirlas El objetivo del estudio fue determinar las necesidades psicoemocionales de los familiares de pacientes ingresados en cuidados intensivos del hospital "Hermilio Valdizán"- Huánuco. Material y Método: El estudio fue de nivel aplicativo, tipo cuantitativo, método descriptivo, de corte transversal, La población estuvo conformada por 20 familiares, de los pacientes ingresados. La técnica fue la encuesta, y el instrumento el cuestionario modificado de Molther, aplicado previo consentimiento informado. Del 100 por ciento (20) familias encuestadas, 65 por ciento (13) presentan necesidades psicoemocionales y 35 por ciento (7) no presenta. Los indicadores que presentan son: La esperanza 95 por ciento (13), miedo 65 por ciento (8), Ira 65 por ciento (8), claudicación 65 por ciento (8), aislamiento 65 por ciento (8), ambivalencia 55 por ciento (7) y la negación en un 45 por ciento (6).
