RESUMEN
Se describe el caso clínico de un adulto, previamente saludable, que presentó mielitis transversa con daño sensitivo luego de padecer infección viral por dengue, quien fuera ingresado en el Hospital General Docente "Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso" de Santiago de Cuba, donde se le diagnosticó una paraplejía flaco-espástica y recibió tratamiento de rehabilitación. Después de 7 meses bajo fisioterapia intensiva, la función motora del paciente continúa evolucionando y la recuperación neurológica no ha sido completada.
The report case of a previously healthy adult, who presented with transverse myelitis with sensitive damage after a viral infection due to dengue and who was admitted in "Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso" Teaching General Hospital from Santiago de Cuba is described, where an spastic paraplegia was diagnosed and he received rehabilitation treatment. After 7 months under intensive physiotherapy, the patient's motor function continues progressing and the neurological recovery has not been completed.
