RESUMEN
A pharmacognostical study comprising macro- and micromorphological investigation, preliminary phytochemical screening proximate analysis and TLC investigation of successive extractives of root and stem of Fumaria parviflora Lam. growing in Egypt is presented. Macro- and micromorphological characteristics were found diagnostic and helpful in identity of both organs as well as in differentiating them from other closely related species both in the entire and powdered forms

Macro- and micromorphological investigation, preliminary phytochemical screening, proximate analysis and TLC investigation of successive extractives of the flower of Fumaria parviflora Lam. growing in Egypt are presented. Macro- and micromorphological features as well as proximate analysis data of the flower are diagnostic and helpful in its identification as well as differentiation from other organs of the plant both in the entire and powdered forms

The AMES Salmonella typhimurium test is one of the most utilized short-term bioassay, which estimates the potentiality of chemicals as carcinogens. The genetic impact of plant extracts, normally incorporated in pharmaceutical recipes, or prescribed by herbalists were measured on the mutant test strains TA-100, TA-104, TA-38, and TA-98. The effectiveness of these bacterial systems to detect mutagens is beneficial from the stand point of decreasing the risk of latent drug-indeed cancer. A profile of microbial contamination of these plant recipes with hazardous fungi and/or their carcinogenic products was also investigated
