RESUMEN
A series of Mn [II] Co [II] and Cu [II] complexes with a number of newly prepared bisazodianil ligands are prepared. The complexes are characterized by elemental and thermal analyses, IR, electronic and ESR-spectra. The composition and geometry of the complexes under study are established

The electronic absorption spectra of some new assyrnmetrical Schiff bases derived from 7-formyl-8-hydroxyquinoline[FHQ] with different diamines and beta-diketones are investigated in organic solvents of varying polarities. The important bands in the IR spectra of the compounds as well as the main signals of the [1]H NMR spectra are discussed in relation to molecular structure. Mass spectra and the mechanism leading to different fragment ions of the compounds are also discussed

The electronic absorption spectra of some new symmetrical Schiff bases derived from 7-formyl-8-hydroxyquinoline [FHQ] with aliphatic and aromatic diamines are investigated in organic solvents of varying polarities. The important bands in the IR spectra of the compounds as well as the main signals in the 1HNMR spectra were discussed in relation to molecular structure. Mass spectra and the mechanism leading to different fragment ions of the compounds were also discussed

The TI [IV], Zr[IV] and Th[IV] chelates with 14 arylazo-chromotropic acid dyes are investigated. The chelates formed have the stoichiometric ratios 1 :1 and 1:2 [M : L]. The stability constants of the complexes [log K1 and log K2] are determined from pH-titrations and correlated with the substituent constants [sigma x]

The members of a new series of [M [HNAAA]]. x H2O are prepared, where, M = Ca[2+], Mn[2+], Fe[2+], Co[2+], Ni[3+],Cu[2+], Zn[2+], Mg[2+] and Sr[2+] and [HNAAA] is 2-hydroxy naphtnyl-1-azo Beta- acetylacetone [a dibasic tridentate ligand]. The complexes are-Subjected to elemental micro analysis and characterized by ir, electronic and [1] H nmr spectra, DTA and x-ray analysis. The stability constants of the complexes formed are determined by potentiometric techniques and discussed in relation to the ionic potentials
