RESUMEN
The aim of this study was to evaluate the importance of accurate preoperative assessment of renal arterial and venous variants. This study included 30 living donors and 10 cadavers were candidates for kidney donation. The living donors were evaluated by Dual-phase multi-detector row CT of the kidneys, while the cadavers were dissected for kidney vasculature anomalies. Renal artery anomalies were detected in 3 living donors while renal vein and renal artery anomalies were detected in 2 cadavers. Knowledge of the venous anatomy prior to laparoscopic surgery is important to avoid vascular injuries and bleeding. The appropriate venous structures, including renal veins, adrenal veins, gonadal veins, and lumbar veins, must be identified and localized
