RESUMEN
O presente artigo relata o caso clínico de uma paciente de 57 anos que se apresentou ao Serviço ATM (FO/UFJF) com queixa de cefaleia, otalgia, zumbido e dor à mastigação. Esse quadro clínico teve início há 25 anos, após a paciente ter sofrido uma paralisia facial. O diagnóstico foi sugestivo de desordem temporomandibular do tipo mialgia crônica, associada à paralisia facial periférica idiopática. A terapêutica de suporte proposta foi a utilização de uma placa neuromiorrelaxante, fisioterapia, fonoterapia e orientações relativas a hábitos e alimentação. O artigo objetiva relatar a correlação entre a paralisia facial e sua provável etiologia na desordem temporomandibular.
This study reports 57 years old patient?s clinical case who came to Serviço ATM (FO/UFJF), clamming headache, earache, tinnitus and facial painful. The first episode was 25 years ago after a facial paralysis. The diagnosis was suggestive of temporomandibular disorder of kindchronic myalgia, associated whit idiopathic peripheral facial paralysis. The support therapeutic was neuromiorrelaxante plate, physiotherapy, speech therapy and orientation about habits and food. It will be approached the relationship among the facial paralysis and probable etiology in the temporomandibular disorder.
