Thiamine or Vitamin B[1] is an essential cofactor for many metabolic processes in numerous tissues. Thiamine-Responsive Megaloblastic Anemia Syndrome is a genetic disorder affecting thiamine transportation with consequent bone marrow, pancreatic, neurological, and cardiac functional and developmental anomalies.
