RESUMEN
The problems associated with mammary prosthesis have risen significantly and necessitated the need for an alternative. In this study, eleven patients were subjected to explantation of mammary prosthesis and the breast was reconstructed using the excess skin after de-epithelialization and autologous fat grafting for resorting breast size. The operation is simple but has a few complications and it has provided excellent patient satisfaction

Twenty one keloids and hypertrophied scars in sixteen patients were subjected to intralesional laser excision, followed immediately by application of silicone gel sheeting for three months and intralesional steroid injection which started two weeks postoperatively after complete wound healing and was done every other week for two months. Improvement in color, texture and thickness of the scars was noted. No failure or recurrence following this combined therapy was observed after six months

This study of suction assisted lipoplasty of 100 cases was undertaken to estimate the fluid and blood loss during the procedure using pre and postoperative hematocrit values as guidelines for fluid and blood loss. The regimen for fluid and blood replacement was stated according to the volume aspirated and to the operative sites involved in the procedure which augmented fluid and to avoid major complications in such patients
