Study of calcium regulating hormones in calcium stone formers

The present study demonstrated that calcium stone formers possesses significant decrease in 1.25 [OH]2 Vit D; 24, 25 [OH]2 Vit D and Vit. D binding protein as compared to control. This finding is accompanied with high activity of alkaline phosphatase due to bone fraction elevation, and serum hypocalcaemia as well as hypophosphataemia.
