RESUMEN

Study on the scientific essence of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome is the key in TCM modernization. This paper showed new research ideas for TCM syndrome, which was based on the pediatric adenovirus pneumonia and its TCM treatment, metabonomics and its application in TCM syndrome research, in order to discuss its application value in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric viral pneumonia. This method was mainly implemented through the metabonomics technology, which reflected TCM holism concept. The syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung, which was the most frequent syndrome in the pediatric viral pneumonia, was studied. Through the comparison with metabolites of healthy children, the biomarkers of syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung in pediatric viral pneumonia were identified.

Objective Discuss the treatment mechanism of Xiaofeng Xuanqiao Decoction on guinea pig with al ergic rhinitis. [Methods]Sixty guinea pigs were randomized into 6 groups: normal control group, al ergic rhinitis(AR) group, high-dosage, equivalent-dosage, low-dosage Xiaofeng Xuanqiao decoction group, and loratadine group. AR guinea pig model was successful y established by ovalbumin(OVA) chal enge method. Xiaofeng Xuanqiao decoction and loratadine were applied to intervene AR guinea pig. The serum levels of IgE and IL-4, IFN-γ, histamine were determined by ELISA methods. [Results]The expression levels of IgE and IL-4, histamine significantly increased,meanwhile the level of IFN-γsignificantly lower compared with the normal group(P<0.01). Compared with that in AR model group, the serum level of IgE and IL-4, histamine in high-dosage Xiaofeng Xuanqiao decoction group significantly decreased,but the level of IFN-γ increased(P<0.01); the levels of IgE and IL-4, histamine decreased in other medication groups, meanwhile the level of IFN-γ increased compared with the model group(P<0.05).[Conclusion]Xiaofeng Xuanqiao can promote the produce of IFN-γ, inhibit the formation of IL-4, promote the secretion of Th1/Th2 cytokines to restore balance, to relieve eosinophil activation, reduce the synthet-ic of IgE, reduce the release of histamine, in many ways to prevent al ergic rhinitis inflammation, to achieve therapeutic effect.

This study was aimed to explore an effect evaluation method of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the treatment of viral pneumonia. Association rules were used to analyze the therapeutic effect of heat, stagnation, and phlegm related syndromes from 297 respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) pneumonia children before and after treatment. The results showed that through the comparison of the frequent itemset of heat, stagnation, and phlegm related syn-dromes, in part of the time, the support degree of the experimental group was obviously lower than that in the con-trol group (P < 0.05). The frequent itemset of the experimental group disappeared 1~3 d earlier than the control group, which indicated the effect in the experimental group was better than the control group. It was concluded that association rules can be used for evaluating therapeutic effect of TCM in treatment of viral pneumonia. The effect evaluation method based on association rules of symptoms is more in line with the syndrome differentiation of TCM.

This article explained that the evidence grading system occupied an important position in the evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Through the comparative analysis on characteristics of clinical evidences between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and modern medicine, different possible establishment ideas of evidence grading system in TCM evidence-based clinical practice guidelines were proposed . The design for evidence grading standard of Chinese medical literature which reflected the academic characteristics of TCM was suggested.

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To study the regulation trend of resveratrol on TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, IL-6 expressions in bronchoalveolar layage fluid (BALF) of RSV-infected BALB/c mice at different time points.</p><p><b>METHOD</b>RSV-induced BALB/c mice were orally administered with resveratrol. Their BALFs were collected at 24, 72 and 144 h after the first nasal drip with RSV to detect the level of TNF-alpha, IL-1P3, IL-6 by EILSA.</p><p><b>RESULT</b>The expression of TNF-alpha, IL-1Pf and IL-6 in BALF increased significantly compared with the normal group (P <0. 01) after 24 hours of RSV infection, while the expression of TNF-alpha (P < 0.01), IL-1beta (P < 0.05), IL-6 (P < 0.01) in the resveratrol group decreased notably compared with the model group. After 72 hours of infection with RSV, although the expression of TNF-alpha (P < 0.05), IL-1beta (P < 0.01) and IL-6 (P < 0.01) in BALF in model group were higher than those in the normal group, they were much more lower than at 24 h. The expression of IL-1beta and IL-6 (P < 0.05) in the resveratrol groups were down-regulated significantly, but no difference had been shown in TNF-alpha expression compared with the RSV infection group. After infection with RSV for 144 h, the expression of IL-1beta (P < 0.01) and IL-6 (P < 0.05) in BALF in the model group were higher than those in the normal group, but there was no difference in the secretion of TNF-alpha. The expression of TNF-alpha, IL-1beta and IL-6 showed also no remarkable difference between the resveratrol groups and the RSV infection group.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Resveratrol can inhibit the over expression of inflammatory factors TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, IL-6 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of RSV-induced BALB/c mice and keep them at a low level with the passing of infection time.</p>

Natural coumarins have strong pharmacological activities. In this paper, the absorption and metabolism of natural coumarins were introduced by analyzing and summarizing the related literature in recent years. The research of absorption and metabolism will be propitious to further understand their pharmacological mechanism and provide basis for developing new drugs of coumarins.

RESUMEN

In this study, daphnetin and its major metabolites in the intestinal wall of rats were identified by liquid chromatography and quatrupole-time of flight mass spectrometry. Perfusion fluid of duodenum, jejunum, ileum and colon were collected separately for 2 hours from the rat intestine following perfusion with daphnetin. The metabolites of daphnetin in the perfusion fluid of different intestine segments were analyzed by the liquid chromatography and quatrupole-time of flight mass spectrometry. It is shown that the parent drug daphnetin and four metabolites were found in the perfusion fluid of duodenum, jejunum and ileum. However, no metabolites were found in the colon. Among the four metabolites, two daphnetin sulfates (m/z 257) were first discovered as the phase II metabolites of daphnetin in rats, which revealed a new way of daphnetin metabolism in rats.

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To develop a HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, naringin, hesperidin and linarin in xiao' erjinning oral liquid.</p><p><b>METHOD</b>The chromatographic separation was achieved on a Lichrospher C18 (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm) column with a mobile phase which was composed of acetonitrile(A) and 0.4% phosphoric acid(B) for gradient elution (10:90-18:82-27:73). The flow rate was (0.8-1.1-0.8) mL x min(-1), the column temperature was 30 degrees C and the detection wavelength was set at 300 nm.</p><p><b>RESULT</b>The results showed that 6 effective components were separated well and showed good linearity. The average recoveries were between 95%-105%.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The method is proved to be rapid, accurate, credible and repeatable. It can be used for the quality control of Xiao'erjinning oral liquid.</p>

Prof. WANG Shou-chuan thought that children Tourette’s syndrome were due to wind and phlegm accumulation interior, imbalance between yin and yang. It is a manifestation excess include wind that is excess wind of liver wind and lung wind and deficiency wind due to yin deficiency, phlegm that is phlegm-fire and phlegm-turbidity; and root deficiency lying in the liver, spleen and kidney. Objective:To study the application of direct immunofluorescence in detecting RSV antigen in children respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)pneumonia.Methods:Multi-center,block randomization,parallel control clinic tests were adopted.To use Qingkailing Injection and Ertongqingfei Oral Liquid as test group and ribavirin injection and Compound Guaiacol Potassium Sulfonale Oral Solution as control group for treating accumulation of phlegm-heat in lung syndrome in children RSV pneumonia.Direct immuno uorescence was used to detect RSV turning to negative in different period in treatment time.Results:The time of turning to negative of test group was earlier than the control group's.In the case of 208 include 108 in the test group and 98 in the control group,it had statistic significance(P0.05).Conclusion:Detection of RSV antigen by direct immuno uorescence is simple,stable,sensitive and special.It is better in choosing clinical case and tracing clinical effect and should be widely applied in clinic.

Objective: To probe the curative effect evaluation method of traditional Chinese medicine in treating pediatrics virus pneumonia.Methods: On the basis of the outcome of analysis made on the preceding three turns of experts' questonnaires,the fourth turn of questionnaires was prepared to investigate the curative effect evaluation method of traditional Chinese medicine in treating pediatrics viral pneumonia.They were distributed to 30 experts in this field all over the country.The questionnaires were analyzed with the method of Delphi Measurement.Results: Chest X ray,cough,temperature,lung auscultation and so on were very important in disease curative effect evaluation,the ratio of full score higher than 0.95 and the coefficient of variation less than 0.24;cough,lung auscultation,Chest X ray and so on were main components in the syndrome and the ratio of full score and the coefficient of variation were respectively more than 0.90 and less than 0.34;dyspnea with rapid and short breath,lung auscultation and Chest X ray were main final result index and the ratio of full score and the coefficient of variation was respectively 1 and 0.Conclusion: Chest X ray,symptoms,temperature and lung auscultation were very important in disease curative effect evaluation;cough,lung auscultation and Chest X ray were main components in the syndrome;dyspnea with rapid and short breath,lung auscultation and Chest X ray were main final result index.
