RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the compatibility stability of Ulinastatin for injection with 2 commonly used solvents in the infusion pump.METHODS:After Ulinastatin for injection 500 000 U was respectively added into 0.9% Sodium chloride injection and 5% Glucose injection 50 mL,the appearance of the mixture at 25 ℃,37 ℃ were observed at 0,1,2,4,8,12,24 h,re spctively,pH value and the number of insoluble particles were measured. The relative percentage of ulinastatin in the mixture was determined by HPGFC.RESULTS:Under this condition, the appearance and pH value of the mixture had no significant change within 24 h;the number of particles ≥10 μm was lower than 25 particle/mL,and that ≥25 μm was lower than 3 particle/mL,which was in line with the pharmacopeia standard. The relative percentage of ulinastatin within 24 h ranged 99.45%-102.55%.CONCLUSIONS:After mixed with 0.9% Sodium chloride injection and 5% Glucose injection,Ulinastatin for injection keep stable within 24 h at 25 ℃,37 ℃ and can be used for continuous administration in the infusion pump.

RESUMEN

Kallistatin, which protects organs and cells against inflammation, fibrosis and oxidative stress, is mainly synthesized and secreted in liver. However, its relationship to human liver disease remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between serum kallistatin and clinical evidence of both cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and to determine if serum kallistatin levels could be used as a diagnostic indicator of hepatic health status, especially human liver cirrhosis (LC). Our cohort consisted of 115 patients with clinically proven liver fibrosis (LF), LC, or HCC by liver biopsies, and 31 healthy controls (CON). Serum kallistatin levels were quantified by ELISA. Results of the present study demonstrated that irrespective of the underlying etiology, serum kallistatin levels were significantly lower in the LF/LC group when compared with the CON group. A decrease in serum kallistatin levels appeared to reflect the extent of cirrhosis, with the lowest levels associated with higher grades of cirrhosis. Patients with LC had a noticeable correlation between serum kallistatin levels and other serum biochemical indicators. The area under the curve (AUC) for LC, viral liver cirrhosis (VLC) and alcoholic liver cirrhosis (ALC) was 0.845, 0.757 and 0.931, respectively. In conclusion, our findings demonstrated that kallistatin, a plasma protein produced by the liver, can be a useful and reliable diagnostic indicator of hepatic health status, especially for LC.

RESUMEN

The fundamental research field of medical ultrasound has been the characterization of tissue scatterers. The signal processing method is widely used in this research field. A new method of Chirp-Z Transform Cepstrum for mean spacing estimation of tissue scatterers using ultrasonic scattered signals has been developed. By using this method together with conventional AR cepstrum method, we processed the backscattered signals of mimic tissue and pig liver in vitro. The results illustrated that the Chirp-Z Transform Cepstrum method is effective for signal analysis of ultrasonic scattering and characterization of tissue scatterers, and it can improve the resolution for mean spacing estimation of tissue scatterers.
