RESUMEN
RESUMO Este artigo teve como objetivo caracterizar o perfil sociodemográfico e clínico de moradores de Serviços Residenciais Terapêuticos (SRT). Trata-se de um estudo transversal, censitário, com 190 moradores de SRT de Recife (PE), analisando as variáveis de perfil sociodemográfico e o histórico psiquiátrico. Observou-se que os moradores se caracterizam, em sua maioria, por homens, solteiros, idosos, analfabetos e histórico de múltiplos e longos internamentos psiquiátricos. Conclui-se que as condutas iatrogênicas praticadas no hospital deixaram sequelas importantes em diversos aspectos da vida dos usuários e tornaram-se numa dívida social que ainda precisa ser paga pela sociedade.
ABSTRACT This article aimed to characterize the sociodemographic and clinical profile of residents of Therapeutic Residential Services (TRS). A cross-sectional, census-based study was carried out with 190 TRS residents from Recife (PE), Brazil. Data collection occurred on an individual basis in TRS. Most of the residents are men, unmarried, elderly, illiterate and with history of various and long-term psychiatric hospitalizations. The iatrogenic conducts practiced in the hospital have left important sequels in several aspects of the life of users and have become a social debt that is yet to be paid by society.

Resumo A discriminação e, como consequência, a exclusão social sofrida pelas travestis e transexuais pode limitar e afastar seu acesso aos serviços de saúde. Como forma de combate às discriminações contra essa população, o uso do nome social nos serviços de saúde é garantido entre os direitos dos usuários do SUS. Objetivamos discutir o uso do nome social no SUS como ferramenta para efetivação do acolhimento, humanização e integralidade da assistência a travestis e transexuais, através da elaboração de um ensaio teórico-reflexivo. Elegeram-se como categorias de análises: o acolhimento e a promoção do acesso à saúde através do nome social; o nome social como ferramenta para humanização da assistência; e o nome social como base para efetivação da integralidade. Podemos afirmar que o nome social se apresenta como a senha de acesso das travestis e transexuais ao SUS. A partir da efetivação desse direito por parte dos profissionais, respeitando e disponibilizando meios para seu uso oral e nos prontuários e documentos, facilita-se a execução das ações em saúde, fazendo valer os direitos de cidadania e de saúde destes usuários.
Abstract Discrimination and, as a consequence, social exclusion suffered by transvestites and transsexuals can limit and exclude their access also to health services. As a way to combat discrimination against this population, the use of the social name in health services is guaranteed among the rights of users of the Brazilian Public Health System (form Portuguese, SUS). We aim to discuss the use of the social name in the SUS as a tool for effecting the reception, humanization and integral care of transvestites and transsexuals through the elaboration of a theoretical-reflexive essay. The categories of analysis were chosen: the reception and promotion of access to health through the social name; The social name as a tool for the humanization of care; And the social name as the basis for integral care. We understand that the social name presents itself as the gateway of transvestites and transsexuals to the SUS. From the realization of this right by the professionals, respecting and making available means for their use orally and in the medical records and documents, the fulfilment of health actions is facilitated, asserting the rights of citizenship and health for these users.
