Risdon wiring was introduced as a technique to reduce and manage the fracture of the symphysis area of mandible, in this type of wiring a wire knot is created in the incisor region which is troublesome, moreover dentoalveloer fractures involving incisors cannot be managed satisfactory with this type of wiring.
