Migraine and stroke have been linked in a complex bi-directional association, though there are quite a few pathophysiological pieces to be found to complete the puzzle. International Classification of Headache Disorders-11 [ICHD-II] has defined a specific term 'migrainous infarct' that can be the crucial link between the two disorders.
