RESUMEN
Se decidió elaborar un software educativo didáctico para el aprendizaje de la asignatura Informática, como vía de solución a las insuficiencias detectadas en los estudiantes de pregrado y posgrado de la licenciatura de Sistemas de Información en Salud. Dicho software se diseñó con la herramienta Chreasoft 3.1 y se estructuró en módulos que vinculan textos, imágenes y videos, lo cual ameniza e incentiva el aprendizaje y agiliza el estudio de los contenidos de la materia. Finalmente se logró un producto informático compatible con sistemas operativos similares a Windows y Linux, que contribuye al proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje al propiciar el desarrollo constante de educandos y profesores.
It was decided to elaborate a didactic educational software for the learning of the Computer science subject, as a solution to the failures detected in the urdergraduate and postgraduate students of the subject Health Information Systems. This software was designed with the tool Chreasoft 3.1, and it was structured in modules that link texts, images and videos, which livens up and motivates learning and it speeds up the study of the contents of the subject. Finally a compatible computer product was achieved with similar operating systems for Windows and Linux, contributing to the teaching-learning process as it makes possible the constant development of students and professors.

Se estudió la producción científica publicada por la revista electrónica provincial MEDISAN, de Santiago de Cuba, en el período 2004-2007, con el objetivo de caracterizar dicha producción así como las referencias bibliográficas utilizadas para su generación. Se observó la tipología documental y las temáticas de investigación más frecuentes. Se determinó el índice de Price para los artículos así como la productividad de sus autores. El universo quedó constituido por 179 artículos del cuatrienio estudiado y sus 2 503 referencias bibliográficas. En cada uno de los años estudiados, el índice de Price obtuvo valores por debajo de 0,5, y ello revela la falta de actualidad de las referencias empleadas para elaborar los trabajos en el período objeto de análisis. Se observó un predominio de los artículos científicos. Las especialidades de Obstetricia y Ginecología, Oftalmología y Estomatología fueron las más tratadas. La mayoría de los autores aportó un solo artículo a la muestra estudiada.
The scientific production published by MEDISAN electronic journal from Santiago de Cuba in the period 2004-2007 was studied aiming to characterize that production as well as the bibliographical references used for the production. The documental typology was observed and the most frequent themes of investigation. The Price index for the articles was determined and the productivity of the authors. The universe was constituted by 179 articles of the cuatrienium studied and its 2 503 bibliographical references. In all the years studied, the Price index obtained values less than 0,5, and this reveals the lack of actualization in the references used to elaborate the papers in the period being analyzed. A predominance of scientific articles was observed. Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and Dentistry were the specialities most treated. The majority of the authors have only one article in the studied sample.
