RESUMEN
Tinea nigra Hortae werneckii(TN) é uma micose superficial causada por um fungo demáceo, Hortae werneckii, que afeta a camada córnea palmar e, mais raramente, a região plantar e outros locais. Caracteriza-se pelo aparecimento de máculashiper-pigmentadas de cor marrom-enegrecido, bem delimitadas, não inflamatórias e assintomáticas. Esta dermatomicose é também denominada queratomicose epidérmica, queratomicose negra, pitiríase negra e , sendo considerada uma infecção fúngica rara, mais comumente encontrada em regiões tropicais e subtropicais. Neste trabalho serão descritos dois casos da micose em região palmar: em menino de 4 anos residente em Caxias do Sul, RS e em estudante universitária, com 23 anos, residenteemFarroupilha,RS. Serão abordados tópicos epidemiológicos e clínicos da infecção. Estes constituem os únicos casos descritos na região nordeste do Rio Grande do Sul, até o momento, demonstrando a raridade da infecção nesta área geográfica.
Tinea nigra (TN) is a superficial fungal mycosis caused by a dematiaceous fungus, Hortae werneckii, whichaffects the palms stratum corneum and more occasionally on the soles and other body parts. Is characterized by maculeswith hyper pigmentation with brown to black pigmentation well delimitated, no-inflammatory and asymptomatic. Thisdermatomycosis is also called epidermic keratomycosis, keratomicosis nigricans, pityriasis nigra and microsporiosis nigra,being considered a rare fungal infection, occurs most frequently in tropical and subtropical climates regions. This study will describe two case reports of this mycosis in palm region: a boy 4 years old who lives in the city of Caxias do Sul, RS and a University academic, woman, 23 years old living in the city of Farroupilha, RS. Epidemiologic and clinic topics will be reported. These are the only described cases in the northeast region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, showing the rarity of the infection in this geographic area.
