RESUMEN
The total serum oestriol was measured among the Iranian women after the 25 th. week of pregnancy. From the total of 233 women examined 198 had normal pregnancies and the other 35 were high risk pregnancies and were under medical servillence. From the 25 th. week of gestation the serum oestriol among the normal subjects ranged from 64.8 +/- 12.4 ng/ml to the highest level of 205.0 +/- 57.3 ng/ml correlations were observed between the weights of the new born babies and the serum oestriol level during the pregnancies. In most cases among the high risk pregnancies the total serum oestriol showed a notable variations
