RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the correlation between ultrasonography and histopathology in acute lung injury of rats. Methods Twenty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group (4 rats) and experimental group (16 rats),in the experimental group acute lung injury models were step-by-step induced by oleic acid (OA) and sequentially by OA and lipopolysaccharide (LPS).After the end of each step of models, ultrasound examination was applied, and the rats were sacrificed to take the lung specimens to be observed. The ultrasonography and pathological results were analyzed, and the numbers of alveolar were counted under microscope (200 times). Results With the aggravation of acute lung injury, the sonographic findings showed unclear or disappeared pleural line,close-set of B-lines,and pulmonary consolidation with air bronchogram. For control group, the ultrasonographic score was 0.25 ± 0.50,lung injury pathological score was 0.50 ± 0.58,and the numbers of alveolar were 25 ± 3.For OA group, the ultrasonographic score was 2.86-± 1.35,lung injury pathological score was 6.28-± 0.76,and the numbers of alveolar were 10-± 2.For OA + LPS group, the ultrasonographic score was 5.83-± 2.32,lung injury pathological score was 9.83 ± 0.98,and the numbers of alveolar were 6-± 2.All 3 groups were significant different on ultrasonographic score, pathological score and alveolar counts (P < 0.01).Conclusions The ultrasonography image of acute lung injury of rats were positively correlated with its histopathological alteration. The ultrasonography can effectively evaluate the degree of acute lung injury of rats.

RESUMEN

Objective To identify the quality of life (QOL)and major influencing factors for migrant workers in Zhejiang province. Methods The QOL of 1217 migrant workers and 1387 permanent urban residents in Zhejiang province were measured by WHOQOL-BREF scale (Chinese version)in a stratified sampling.A multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the relationship between the factors and the scores of the four domains. Results There were no significant statistical differences(P>0.05)found in the scores of physical health, social relationship and general health between migrant workers and urban residents.Their scores of psychological health, surrounding conditions and general quality of life, however, were found lower than urban residents (3.5 ± 0.8 vs 3.6 ± 0.8).Influencing factors for their psychology were education, family conflicts and appetite; those for their surrounding conditions were daily average work hours and appetite. Conclusion Given improvements in the quality of life of migrant workers, rooms to improve were found in such scores as psychological health and surrounding conditions.

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of laparoscopic ovarian electrocautery in refractory polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Methods A total of 16 PCOS patients who had no response to ovulation-inductive therapy were treated by ovarian electrocautery via laparoscope. After surgery, the ovulation as well as response to ovulation-inductive drugs was observed. The serum concentrations of FSH, LH, T, E 2 before and after operations were respectively compared. Results All 16 cases were pathologically diagnosed as polycystic ovary. There were significant decreases in luteinizing hormone (LH) and testosterone (T) after operations (P

RESUMEN

@#Isometric exercise(IE) is an essential component of daily living activities.Lack of IE may result in deconditioning of IE capacity.IE has not been used in cardiac rehabilitation because of poor understanding in cardiovascular response to IE and the Valsalva Maneuver associated with IE.Eingteen healthy young subjects aged 23.7 yrs on average was studied by administration of beta blocker and antagonist of opioids during IE.The result demonstrated that the regulation of cardiovasular response during IE is attributed to both sympathetic system and opioids activity.Twenty patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) were also studied during brief maximal IE,sustained maximal IE and dynamic exercise(DE).The patients included 13 cases with more than one vessel lesions and 7 post myocardial infarction and/or angina.Ten age matched apparent healthy subjects were examined as the control group. The result showed that IE without the Valsalva Maneuver in patients with CAD might increase coronary artery perfusion by enhancing diastolic pressure and prolonging diastolic period, which had no harmful effect on CAD.Hemodynamic responses and cardiac function were weaker during IE than DE.The intensity of the responses to IE was correlated to the central command but not to the absolute work load.It is concluded that significant release of endogenous opioids due to strong central command during IE,especially perceived maximal sustained IE,may help to attenuate activity of sympathetic system, thus reducing risk of exercise in patients with CAD.
