RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE@#To observe waveform difference among cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (cVEMP) elicited with different types of air conducted sound in normal young Chinese subjects.@*METHOD@#Twenty adult volunteers (40 ears) were recruited as research subjects including 10 males and 10 females aged between 19 and 30.500 Hz Tone Burst, 1000 Hz Tone Burst and Click were employed as stimulus for conventional air conducted sound-cVEMP (ACS-cVEMP) examinations in bilateral ears of each subject. The response rate, threshold, P1 latency, N1 latency, P1-N1 latency interval, amplitude and inter-aural asymmetry were recorded and compared among groups.@*RESULT@#The response rate was 97.5% in 500Hz Tone Burst (39/40), 87.5% in 1 000Hz Tone Burst (35/40)and 67.5% in Click (27/40), There were no statistically significant difference between 500Hz Tone Burst and 1000Hz Tone Burst (P > 0.05) but there were statistically significant difference between click and the other groups (P < 0.05). We collected the waveform parameters (the threshold, P1 latency, N1 latency, P1-N1 latency interval, amplitude) which had statistically significant difference between 500 Hz Tone Burst and the other groups (P < 0.05). The inter-aural asymmetrys had no statistically significant differents among groups.@*CONCLUSION@#The response rate and parameter could be affected by different types of air conducted sound in normal young Chinese subjects. 500 Hz Tone Burst was the best stimulus of type what we have known.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the adverse effects of nano-titanium dioxide (TiO2 )on kidney tissues in healthy rats and rats with oxidative stress (OS).Methods Thirty-six healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into control group, alloxan-treated group, nano-TiO2 treated (NM) group, and alloxan and nano-TiO2 dual treatment (OS-NM)group.Nano-TiO2 of three concentrations (0.5,5 and 50 mg/kg body weight)was injected intraperitoneally. The level of OS biochemical factors and blood urea nitrogen (BUN)and pathological changes of kidney were determined. Results Compared with those in NM and OS groups, the levels of O2 -· and superoxide dismutase (SOD)in OS-NM group were significantly increased after exposure to nano-TiO2 of 5 mg/kg body weight (P <0.05).Nano-TiO2 of 50 mg/kg body weight led to significant changes of O2 -·,SOD,and glutathione (GSH) levels in OS-NM group in comparison with OS and NM groups (P <0.01).The levels of O2 -· and GSH between OS group and NM group changed significantly (P < 0.05 ).Compared with healthy rats,OS rats showed significant increased BUN level (P <0.01),cell number and edema of renal tubular epithelial cells after nano-TiO2 exposure.A synergic effect between OS condition and nano-TiO2 level was shown on the increased level of O2 -·.Conclusion Nano-TiO2 induced more adverse effects on the kidney in OS rats, suggesting a synergistic effect between nano-TiO2 and OS.This result provides experimental evidence for patients’safe use of nano-TiO2 .

RESUMEN

As an important method, the experimental teaching can enhance the compe-tence of students such as operation ability, and make students learn how to solve the problem scientifically and innovatively. The aim of comprehensive experiment is to make studetns develop fully and understand the relationship between theory and practice. The designing experiment is to training students to complete the whole experiment process by themselves from reading reference to write the paper. All these trainings intend to improve the scientific research ability of under-graduate students.

RESUMEN

Traditional teaching plays a major role in pre-clinical genetics teaching, but the PBL teaching mode greatly mobilizes the enthusiasm of students in clinical genetics teaching. However reasonably and scientific combination between traditional teaching and PBL teaching contributes to more positive effect in medical genetics teaching.

RESUMEN

Objective To clone the fragment of hepatitis C virus(HCV) core gene and express it in E.coli.Methods The fragment of HCV core gene(approximate 366bp) was amplified by PCR and inserted into the pMD18-T vector. The cloned HCV core gene, which was confirmed by the digestion with EcoRⅠ/BamHⅠ,was subcloned into the expression vector pBV220 to construct recombinant plasmid pBV220/HCV-C.The expressed gene product was identified by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting. Results The fragment of HCV core gene was expressed successfully after temperature induction and a protein of 14 000 u was resulted. Conclusion Expression of the HCV-C gene in E.coli was achieved, which may be helpful for further studies on characterizations of HCV-C gene.

RESUMEN

Objective To observe the pulmonary X-ray changes of malignant malaria. Methods The chest routine X-ray examination in 86 cases with malaria in company with respiratory tract symptoms such as fever was performed, the pulmonary changes were obsenved. Results Of 86 cases, 58 cases were abnormal on chest filmes, including lung framework marked in 33 cases, miliary, small or large patchy shadow in 24 cases and multiple round opaque mass lesion in one case. Conclusion The pulmonary X-ray changes of malignant malaria are varied, the common characteristic is that most of them are situated at middle and lower portion of the lungs. This may attribute to blood dynamic abnormality resulting from malaria protozoan and the pathological changes of involved tissues.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the water extracting technology of Rubingxiao tablet.METHODS: The extracting technology of Rubingxiao tablet was optimized by orthogonal experiment with the yield of extractum and ferulic acid content as indices. RESULTS: The optimum extracting condition was A3B1C3D2,i.e. adding 12 times water and extracting 0.5 h/time for 3 times with 60% alcohol. CONCLUSION: The extracting technology for Rubingxiao tablet is simple and rapid with stable result, and it provided theoretical basis for the production of Rubingxiao Tablets.
