The effect of "paraplegic triple needling" combined with rehabilitation training on psychological and daily living ability of patients with spinal cord injury / 中国针灸

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To compare the effects of "paraplegic triple needling" and conventional needling on psychological and daily living ability of patients with spinal cord injury.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>A total of 50 patients with spinal cord injury were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 25 cases in each one. Rehabilitation training was applied in the two groups. In the observation group, on the basis of rehabilitation training, "paraplegic triple needling" was added, namely, puncturing the governor vessel (GV) and back- points respectively in the upper and lower segments of the injury plane and locating the key muscle movement points of the lower extremities by the peripheral nerve electrical stimulation device. Electroacupuncture (EA) was given at the points up and down the two sections of the GV points, back- points, the key muscle movement points. In the control group, conventional needling was applied at the points of GV, back- points, Huantiao (GB 30), Zusanli (ST 36), Xuanzhong (GB 39) and Yanglingquan (GB 34). The treatment was given once a day, the treatment for a month as one course and a total of 2 course were required. In addition, 25 health checkers were selected at the physical examination center of General Hospital of Chengdu Military Region as a normal control group. The content of peripheral serum 5-hydroxy tryptamine (5-HT) was tested before treatment, 1 course and 2 courses of treatment, The modified Barthel index (MBI) was used to observe the daily living activities, the Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA) were used to evaluate the psychological status.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>In the two groups, the content of serum 5-HT was lower than that in the normal control group before treatment (both <0.05). After one course of treatment, the MBI score and content of serum 5-HT were all increase in the two groups; the HAMA score and HAMD score were all reduced (all <0.05); the results in the observation were better than those in the control group (all <0.05). After 2 courses of treatment, the MBI score and content of serum 5-HT were all increased in the two groups, and the HAMA score and HAMD score were all reduced (all <0.05), but the difference was not significant statistically between the two groups (all >0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the content of serum 5-HT in patients with spinal cord injury was negatively correlated with disease course, HAMA and HAMD score (all <0.05), and positively correlated with MBI score (<0.05).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>There are differences in the content of serum 5-HT between the normal person and the patients with pinal cord injury. The content of serum 5-HT can early predict the depression and anxiety in patients with spinal cord injury. Compared with the conventional needling, "paraplegic triple needling" can improve depression and anxiety in the early stage and improve the daily living ability of patients with spinal cord injury.</p>

Influence of the recombinant human growth hormone on nutritional status and immune function in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome / 中国基层医药

ObjectiveTo observe the influence of the recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) on nutritional status and immune function in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).Methods60 ARDS patients with mechanical ventilation hospitalized in the ICU ward were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,each group had 30 cases.The patients of the two groups were given the same treatment program of nutritional support,and the patients of the treatment group were administered with rhGH 8u/d,subcutaneous injection,treatment course was 7d.1d before treatment,4d,7d after treatment,the nutrition indicators and changes in immune parameters of the two groups were detected.ResultsThe nutritional status before treatment and the cellular immune parameters of the two groups were lower than normal.4d after treatment,the transferrin requirements(TFN),prealbumin(PA),CD3,CD4,CD8 and CD4/CD8 ratio of the treatment group increased significantly( all P ＜0.05 ) ;7d after treatment,TFN,PA,CD3,CD4,CD8,CD4/CD8 ratio of the treatment group increased significantly compared with the control group ( P ＜ 0.01 ).ConclusionLow-dose hormone therapy combined with the nutritional support could improve the nutritional status,the immune function of ARDS patients with mechanical ventilation and enhance the success rate of patients in emergency.

Application of fiberoptic bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage in patients with mechanical ventilation / 中国基层医药

Objective To explore the clinical application of fiberoptic bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL) in patients with mechanical ventilation.Methods Sixty patients with mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into control group ( n =30) and treatment group ( n =30).All patients accepted anti-infection,nutritional support treatments.The patients in the control group accepted routine treatment;others in the treatment group were treated with BAL.The therapeutic effects in the two groups were evaluated and compared.Results The treatment effects in treatment group was better than that in control group( P ＜0.05).The improvement of blood gas analysis in treatment group was better than in control group (P ＜ 0.05 ),the time of mechanical ventilation,length of stay in treatment group were shorter than those in the control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).The number of success to remove ventilator,organs failure and hospital mortality in treatment group were less than those in the control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion Fiberoptic bronchoscopy with BAL treatment could be safe and effective for patients with mechanical ventilation.It deserves to be popularized.

Ralationship between quality of life and social support in patients with cardiomyopathy / 中国实用护理杂志

Objective To study the relationship between quality of life and social support and ex-plore effective ways to improve quality of life in patients with cardiomyopathy. Methods In-hospital pa- tients (50 cases) with eardiomyopathy were randomly selected and inquired by applying general quality life inventory(GQOLI-74) and social support rating seale(SSRS),compared with 45 normal people as the con- trol group. Results Compared with the control group, quality of llfe (P < 0.05) and social support (P <0.01 ) in patients with eardiomyopathy decreased significantly.Social support was positively related with quality of life (r =0.614, P < 0.01 ). Conclusions Quality of life is closly related with social support in patients with cardiomyopathy. Improving quality of life by social support in patients with cardiomyopathy should be emphasized and make effective use of in the courses of nursing.

Expression of goat follicle-stimulating hormone analogous gene in Pichia pastoris / 生物工程学报

In order to obtain the long-acting FSH preparation, the single strand long-acting analogous gene FSHbeta-CTP-alpha was successfully constructed by the C-terminal peptide(CTP) of carboxyl-terminal region of human chorionic gonadotropin with the goat FSHalpha-subunit and beta-subunit genes, then it was inserted into pPIC9K vector. The recombinant plasmid pPIC9K FSHbeta-CTP-alpha was transformed into Pichia pastoris GS115 by electroporation. The multi-copy inserts His+Mut+ were gained by the screening of phenotype and hyper-resistance to G418. After methanol induction, the supernatant was analysised by SDS-Polyacrylamide Gen Electrophoresis and Western blot. The results show that the transformants of FSHbeta-CTP-alpha could express the objective protein successfully and the molecular weight is about 29 kD. The concentration of supernatant was detected by Radio-immunoassay and the average expression of multi-inserts is 91.849 mIU/mL and the low-inserts is 37.419 mIU/mL. The expression of multi-inserts is higher than the low-inserts significantly. This research lay the foundation for studying the structure of FSH and the production of long-acting FSH preparation.
