RESUMEN

Objective:To explore one-stage total knee arthroplasty (TKA) combined with open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) for knee osteoarthritis complicated with tibial stress fracture.Methods:The 3 patients were retrospectively analyzed who had been treated for knee osteoarthritis complicated with tibial stress fracture at Department of Orthopedics, Ganzhou District People's Hospital from March 2018 to March 2020. They were all female, aged from 54 to 76 years (average, 66 years). There were 2 transverse fractures and one short oblique fracture; all of them had knee varus deformity. The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) scores averaged 37.6 (from 28 to 50) for the left knee and 28.3 (from 22 to 39) for the right knee. One-stage TKA was performed for the articular surface while ORIF for the right tibial stress fracture for all patients. Recorded were fracture union time, HSS knee score and range of articular motion.Results:The 3 patients were followed up for 25 to 44 months (average, 32 months).The fracture union time ranged from 4 to 7 months (average, 5 months). The last follow-ups revealed no such complications as prosthesis loosening, peri-prosthesis osteolysis or joint instability. Knee varus deformity was corrected in all patients. The HSS knee scores at the last follow-up averaged 89.6 (from 88 to 91) for the left knee and 88.3 (from 85 to 90) for the right knee.Conclusion:In the treatment of knee osteoarthritis complicated with tibial stress fracture, one-stage TKA combined with ORIF can restore the function of knee joint, leading to fine curative effects.

RESUMEN

Background Noise is the most common occupational hazard in the automobile manufacturing industry with the most workers exposed. Automobile manufacturing industry is a high-risk industry for noise-induced hearing loss. Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics of noise-induced hearing loss among workers in automobile manufacturing industry and explore related influencing factors. Methods A questionnaire survey, individual noise recording, and pure tone audiometry were conducted among workers (n=656) exposed to noise from five automobile manufacturing enterprises. The data on age, sex, exposure duration, noise intensity, kurtosis, and hearing loss were obtained. The positive rates of high-frequency noise-induced hearing loss (HFNIHL) and speech-frequency noise-induced hearing loss (SFNIHL) were calculated, and each factor was compared between workers with and without HFNIHL. Chi-square test and analysis of trend were conducted among different groups of age, sex, exposure duration, A-weighted equivalent continuous sound pressure level normalized to a nominal 8-hour working day (LAeq,8h), and kurtosis. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to analyze the factors influencing the positive rates of HFNIHL and SFNIHL. Results The exposure rates of non-Gaussian noise was 73.6%. The positive rates of HFNIHL and SFNIHL were 32.6% (214 workers) and 6.7% (44 workers), respectively. The HFNIHL workers showed older age, higher proportion of male, longer exposure duration, higher noise intensity (LAeq,8 h), and increased kurtosis than those without HFNIHL (P<0.05). OBJECTIVE:To establish the method for the content determination of L-Hyp and collagen in gelatinous medicinal material,and to compare the contents of two components in reference medicinal material and commercially available medicinal material.METHODS:Pre-column derivatization was adopted for pretreatment.The content of L-Hyp was determined by HPLC.The determination was performed on Kromasil C18 column with mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.1 mol/L sodium acetate buffer (pH 6.5,7 ∶ 93,V/V)-acetonitrile-water (4 ∶ 1,V/V) (gradient elution) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.The detection wavelength was set at 254 urn,and column temperature was set at 43 ℃.The sample size was 20 μL.The content of collagen was calculated by using convert coefficient.RESULTS:The linear range of L-Hyp were 2.5-40 μg/mL(r=0.999 9).LOQ was 0.20 μg/mL,and LOD was 0.05 t g/mL.RSDs of precision,stability and reproducibility tests were all lower than 4.0%.The recoveries were 96.03%-102.07% (RSD =2.20%,n =9).There was difference in the contents of L-Hyp and collagen among 28 batches of commercially available medicinal material.The contents of two components in 13 batches of commercially available Colla Corii Asini were relative close to reference medicinal material;5 batches of Colla Carapacis et Plastri Testudinis and 7 batches of Cervi Comus Colla were much higher than those of reference medicinal material.CONCLUSIONS:The method is accurate,reliable and suitable for the content determination of L-Hyp and collagen in gelatinous medicinal material.

RESUMEN

Purpose To compare the distribution of 23 kinds of human papillomavirus ( HPV) genotypes in tissues of condyloma acu-minata ( CA) of cervix in 120 women and its clinical significance. Methods Polymerase chain reaction ( PCR) and gene-chips tech-nology were utilized for the detection of 23 kinds of HPV genotypes in tissue specimens from 120 cases of CA in cervix and related ma-terials of all subjects were conducted and analyzed. Results There were 115 positive cases in 120 women with CA in cervix and the rate of total HPV infection was 95. 83% (115/120). The rate of single type was 70. 83% (85/120) and multiple types was 25. 00%(30/120). The predominant type of single infection was HPV11 and the infective rate was 45. 00% (54/120), followed by HPV6 (22. 50%, 27/120). Otherwise, the predominant type of multiple infections was HPV6+11 with the infective rate of 20. 00% (6/30), and HPV11+16 infection accounted for 10. 00% (3/30). Conclusions HPV11, 6, 6+11 and 11+16 are the main genotypes in the pathogenesis of CA in cervix in 120 women. PCR and gene-chip technology can detect single and multiple HPV genotyping in tis-sues of CA in cervix with high sensitivity and specificity. Detection of HPV genotypes could be used to understand the prevalence situa-tion of HPV infection in tissues of CA and tumors of cervix and further to provide references for the research and development of HPV vaccine in women.

Objective To compare the genotypes distribution of human papillomavirus (HPV ) infection in tissues of cervical cancers and cervical intraepithelial neoplasias (CIN ) and its clinical significance .Methods The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and the gene-chips technique were utilized for the detection of 23 kinds of HPV genotypes in the tissue specimens from 192 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and 85 cases of cervical cancers .And the related data of all subjects were analyzed .Results In 192 cases of CIN ,the total positive rate of HPV was 82 .29% (158/192) ,the positive rate of single genotype infection was 46 .88% (90/192) and the positive rate of multiple genotypes infection was 35 .42% (68/192);In 85 cases of cervical cancers ,the to-tal infection rate of HPV was 88 .24% (75/85) ,the positive rate of single genotype infection was 65 .88% (56/85) and the positive rate of multiple genotypes infection was 22 .35% (19/85) .Conclusion PCR combined with the gene-chips technique can be used in the detection of the tissue samples of cervical lesions ,once detection can detect 23 kinds of HPV genotypes with high sensitivity and strong specificity ,which has very important significance to the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions and the their vaccine research .

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate relationship between serum level of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP)and short-term prognosis in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods Ninetynine patients with AMl with elevated S-T segment in electrocardiogram admitted to the department of cardiology,the Fourth Hospital of Jilin University,Changchun during January to December 2008 were divided into two groups.one with percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty(PTCA)or pereutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)(61 eases)and the other without PTCA(38 cases)as controls.Their serum levels of BNP were measured at admission, and one day and seven days after admission,respectively,and their main adverse cardiac events(MACE)were followed-up and recorded for 30 days.Results No significant differenee in serum BNP level between the patients at admission and one day after admission was found(P<0.01).Seven days after admission,serum BNP level in PCI group was significantly lower than that in controls(P<0.01),and occurrence of MACE was significantly lower in PCI group than that in controls(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis indicated that serum BNP level in PCI group seven days after admission was the uppermost predictor for MACE in patients with AMI in one month after onset(OR=1.026,95%CI 1.014-1.038,P<0.01).Serum BNP level was significantly higher in patients with MACE seven days after admission than that in those without it(P<0.01)during 30-day followup.Conclusion Serum level of BNP seven days after admission is associated with their short-term prognosisfor patients with AMI.

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the curative effect of local immunotherapy with dexamethasone in healing Graves disease.Methods We divided the 76 patients diagnosed as Graves disease in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical College from Jan.2004 to Aug.2006 into two groups randomly.The therapy group(38 cases)were treated with oral drug and local immunotherapy,while the contrast group were treated with oral drug.Then we observed and analyzed the results of the two groups.Results There're 35 cases having exceptional curative effect such as rapid significance,short period of treatment and lasting effect in the therapy group,while only 28 cases having the less exceptional curative effect in the contrast groups.The difference was quite noticeable(P
