RESUMEN

Objective@#To investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of abnormal ankle-branchial index(ABI)among community diabetic patients in Liangxi District of Wuxi. @*Methods@#From April to October 2018,the community patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)were selected from 12 streets in Liangxi District by convenient sampling method. The general information, body mass index(BMI),fasting blood glucose and ABI of the patients were collected by questionnaire survey, physical examination and laboratory test. The influencing factors for ABI abnormality were analyzed by multinomial logistic regression models.@*Results @#A total of 2 235 patients with T2DM were investigated, with an average age of(67.74±7.85)years old and an average course of disease of(10.25±7.38)years. There were 210 cases(9.40%)of low ABI,1 972 cases(88.23%)of normal ABI,and 53 cases(2.37%)of high ABI. The results of multinomial logistic regression analysis showed that systolic blood pressure(OR=1.021,95%CI:1.013-1.029),age(OR=1.081,95%CI:1.059-1.105),course of disease(OR=1.023,95%CI:1.004-1.041)and regular exercise(OR=0.499,95%CI:0.366-0.681)were influencing factors for low ABI;BMI(OR=1.120,95%CI:1.034-1.213)was a risk factor for high ABI. @*Conclusions@# The prevalence of abnormal ABI is high among community patients with T2DM in Liangxi District. Systolic blood pressure, age, course of disease,BMI and regular exercise are the influencing factors for ABI abnormality.

RESUMEN

Objective@#To understand emotional and behavioral problems of children aged 3-6 years, and to explore the role of parenting style in the development of those problems.@*Methods@#A total of 2 278 children from 11 public kindergartens in Tongling City from April to June 2018 were selected by cluster sampling method. The questionnaire was made up by parents. The questionnaire mainly included: children, basic information of parents and children, children’s psychology and behavior, and parents’ education style, etc.@*Results@#Among 2 278 children, 192(8.43%) had abnormal emotional symptoms, 214 (9.39%) had conduct problems, 376(16.50%) had hyperactivity problems, 537(23.57%) had peer problems, 233(10.2%) had abnormal total difficulty scores and 254(11.15%) had prosocial behaviors. Gender, age, health status of the child, second-hand smoke exposure of the baby, parents’ education level, family economic conditions, and parents’ education mode are all the influencing factors of children’s emotion and behavior(P<0.05). Logistic analysis showed that father’s support participation(OR=0.96, 95%CI=0.95-0.98), mother’s support participation (OR=0.94, 95%CI=0.92-0.95), mother’s hostility compulsion (OR=1.08, 95%CI=1.06-1.10) and 3-6-year-old children’s abnormal mood and behavior were correlated(P<0.01).@*Conclusion@#Parental support and maternal hostile are related to emotional and behavioral problems of 3-6-year-old children.

RESUMEN

@#[Abstract] Objective: :To study the effects of IL-34 over-expression on malignant biological behavior of acute monocytic leukemia (AMoL) cells. Methods: The lentiviral vector pCDH-GFP for over-expressing IL-34 was constructed and infected into AMoL cell lines (THP1 and MOLM-13). Then its effects on proliferation, colony forming and cell cycle as well as apoptosis were tested by the MTS, colony formation assay and Annexin-V/PI staining, respectively. The cell differentiation phenotypes were assessed by fflow cytometry. Nude mice xenograft model was established to observe the tumor size and mass as well as the macrophages recruitment. Results: qPCR analysis showed that the expression of IL-34 mRNAin THP1-IL-34 and MOLM-13-IL-34 cells was nearly 4 000 and 3 000 folds higher than their respective control cells (all P<0.01), indicating that AMoL cell lines over-expressing IL-34 were successfully established. In vitro study showed that over-expression of IL-34 in AMoL cell lines promoted their proliferation potential(72 h:[0.738±0.003] vs [0.646±0.008]; [0.290±0.004] vs [0.247±0.004]; all P<0.01) and colony formation ([127.00 ± 3.37] vs [86.00±4.08]; [160.70±4.70] vs [116.70±3.93]; all P<0.01), whereas had little effect on apoptosis (all P>0.05). Over-expression of IL-34 promotedAMoLcell differentiation towards monocyte-macrophage lineage as the expressions of the monocyte-macrophage markers, CD11b and CD14, were increased whereas the expression of immature marker, CD71, was decreased in AMoL cell lines over-expressing IL-34(all P<0.05). Nude mice xenograft model showed that IL-34 over-expression stimulated macrophage recruitment in tumor tissues (P<0.01). Conclusion: Over-expression of IL-34 in human AMoL cell lines promotes their proliferation, colony forming potential and differentiation towards monocyte-macrophage lineage. Furthermore, IL-34 participates in the process of macrophages recruitment in vivo.
