RESUMEN

In order to more accurately and effectively understand the intermuscular coupling of different temporal and spatial levels from the perspective of complex networks, a new multi-scale intermuscular coupling network analysis method was proposed in this paper. The multivariate variational modal decomposition (MVMD) and Copula mutual information (Copula MI) were combined to construct an intermuscular coupling network model based on MVMD-Copula MI, and the characteristics of intermuscular coupling of multiple muscles of upper limbs in different time-frequency scales during reaching exercise in healthy subjects were analyzed by using the network parameters such as node strength and clustering coefficient. The experimental results showed that there are obvious differences in the characteristics of intermuscular coupling in the six time-frequency scales. Specifically, the triceps brachii (TB) had relatively high coupling strength with the middle deltoid (MD) and posterior deltoid (PD), and the intermuscular function was closely connected. However, the biceps brachii (BB) was independent of other muscles. The intermuscular coupling network had scale differences. MVMD-Copula MI can quantitatively describe the relationship of multi-scale intermuscular coupling strength, which has good application prospects.

RESUMEN

Objective@#Isolated cortical venous thrombosis (ICoVT) has a low incidence and is easily to be misdiagnosed. The clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of three cases of ICoVT were analyzed in order to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment.@*Methods@#The clinical manifestations, examination, imaging and pathological features of three patients with ICoVT admitted to our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.@*Results@#All the three patients had acute onset. The main symptoms were headache, seizures, numbness of one limb and mental disorders. Intracranial pressure was normal. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed abnormal signals located in cortical sulcus and subcortex. Point and linear hypointensity could be seen on T2* or susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) -weighted image. Digital subtraction angiography was performed in one case, showing occlusion of cortical veins. Protein S decreased in two patients, two patients with hyperhomocysteinemia and one patient with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. The clinical and imaging manifestations of three patients were spontaneously alleviated. Brain biopsy was performed in two patients, and meningeal biopsy was performed in one patient due to significant meningeal thickening.@*Conclusions@#The clinical manifestations and routine MRI of ICoVT lack specificity and are easy to be misdiagnosed. However, ICoVT patients are often associated with risk factors for thrombophilia. T2* or SWI sequences are sensitive to the diagnosis of ICoVT. Brain biopsy has implications for the diagnosis and it is helpful for differential diagnosis, but the indications should be strictly controlled.

RESUMEN

Epilepsy is a common chronic brain disorder with multiple causes, and now autoimmune factors are believed to be an independent cause for epilepsy.Accumulating data support an autoimmune basis in patients with antiepileptic drug-resistant seizures. Moreover, systemic autoimmune diseases and epilepsy co-occur frequently.Neural specific autoantibodies can also mediate the process of seizures through different pathways,The diagnosis of autoimmune epilepsy is based on frequency of antiepileptic drug-resistant seizures, the presence of neural specific autoantibodies, inflammatory changes in serum or spinal fluid or on magneticresonanceimaging, the change in electroencephalogram,a personal or family history of autoimmunity.Once autoimmune epilepsy is diagnosed, the immunotherapy is required.Early immunotherapy is crucial for improving the prognosis of the patients.

RESUMEN

Objective To study the effects of benzyl propionate nandrolone (BPN ) on the nicotinamide phosphoribosyl transferase (Nampt), insulin receptor substeate-2 (IRS-2 )and pancreatic duodenal homeobox-1 (PDX-1)expressions, cell cycle changes as well as insulin secretion in pancreatic islet cell NIT-1 lines, and to explore the influence of BPN in the Nampte xpression in NIT-1 cells and insulin signaling molecules in high glucose oxidation stress. Methods The NIT-1 cells were cultured with different concentrations (5.6,11.1,16.7,and 27.6 mmol·L-1)of glucose, then they were treated with 10 mg·L-1 BPN for 48 h with no BPN treatment as corresponding control groups. The expression levels of Nampt,IRS-2,and PDX-1 were tested by Western blotting assay. The changes of cell cycle were determined by FCM and the cell insulin secretion levels were measured with radioimmunoassay. Results Compared with corresponding control groups, the expression levels of Nampt,IRS-2, and PDX-1 proteins in the NIT-1 cells in various BPM groups were increased (P<0.05 or P<0.01).The G0/G1 phase arrest was relieved (P<0.01)when the cells was cultured in low glucose (5.6 mmol·L-1 )condition, and the G2/M block was remitted significantly in high glucose (27.6 mmol·L-1 )condition (P<0.01),furthermore, the cell insulin secretion was promoted compared with control groups except 1 1.1 mmol· L-1 glucose group (P<0.01).Conclusion BPN can promote the expression levels of Nampt,ISR-2 and PDX-1 proteins in NIT-1 cells. There is close relationship between the Nampt expression in NIT-1 cells and insulin signaling pathway and BPN prevents the cells from insulin resistance.
