RESUMEN

AIM: To assess the effect of curcumin in hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN) and mean arterial pressure so as to explore the central mechanism of hypertension. METHODS: Sixty Sprague-Dawley rats which body weights between 170 and 190 grams fed with a normal salt (0.3% NaCl) or a high salt (8% NaCl) diet for 6 weeks. Meanwhile half of each team received curcumin administration or vehicle by intragastric administration. Mean Arterial pressure was measured noninvasively via tail-cuff instrument and their recording system. The PVN tissue samPles were collected and stored at −80 °C for later analyses. We performed the following experimental procedures: Western blot analysis, immunofluorescence, immunofluorescence and statistical analysis. RESULTS:The average arterial blood Pressure of rats in the high-salt diet group was significantly reduced after 6 weeks of curcumin intervention. The levels of NOX2, NOX4, TLR4, MyD88, IL-6, IL-1β, MCP-1 and ROS in the long-term high-salt diet grouP were significantly higher after curcumin intervention. CONCLUSION:Curcumin can improve blood pressure in hypertensive rats induced by long-term high salt, the mechanism may be related to the imProvement of oxidative stress and inflammatory cytokines in the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus.

RESUMEN

Objective@#To understand the current situation and influencing factors of scoliosis in 12-year-old students from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, so as to provide scientific basis for accurate prevention and control of abnormal spinal curvature.@*Methods@#From October to November 2021, a total of 18 399 students aged 12 were selected by region and school level by stratified random cluster sampling method, and spinal curvature screening and questionnaire survey of common diseases and health influencing factors among students were carried out. Chi squared test was used for single factor analysis, and binary Logistic regression model was used for multi factor analysis.@*Results@#A total of 397 students (2.2%) were detected with abnormal curvature of the spine, including 368 students (2.0%) with scoliosis. Among them, 205 cases were in the lumbar thoracic segment with a detection rate of 1.1%, 173 cases were in the thoracic segment with a detection rate of 0.9%, and 141 cases were in lumbar thoracic segment with a detection rate of 0.8%. Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that urban area, economic area(moderate), attending tutorial classes before primary school and class seats never changed regularly were positively correlated with the occurrence of scoliosis among 12 year old students ( OR =1.95,1.67,1.76,1.71, P <0.05). Obesity, attending an average of 3 or 4 physical education classes per week, attending physical fitness and beauty classes before primary school were negatively correlated with the occurrence of scoliosis among 12 year old students ( OR =0.69,0.31,0.36,0.71, P <0.05).@*Conclusion@#The prevalence of scoliosis among 12-year-old students in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is not optimistic. It should pay attention to the prevention and control of scoliosis in students before the age of 12, actively prevent the occurrence and progress of scoliosis.

RESUMEN

Objective:To explore the clinical application of NanoString fluorescent barcode technology in the molecular subtyping of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and to analyze the correlation between the cell-of-origin subtype and prognosis of patients. Methods:The tumor tissue samples of 12 patients with DLBCL at the Third People's Hospital of Datong of Shanxi Province and 8 patients with DLBCL at Peking University, Health Science Center between January 2014 and December 2019 were collected. According to Hans algorithm, all patients were divided into 1 case of germinal center-derived B-cell (GCB) type and 19 cases of non-GCB type. NanoString platform was used to analyze the expression level differences of 15 genes-related to Lymph2Cx molecular subtyping of all samples at mRNA level. Hierarchical clustering was used to subgroup 20 DLBCL cases and to contrast the prognosis in different subgroups according to the subtyping. Results:NanoString fluorescent barcode technology was used to detect samples of 20 DLBCL cases and hierarchical clustering analysis was performed, and then subtyping results showed that 11 cases were GCB-like type and 9 cases were activated B cell (ABC)-like type. Based on Hans algorithm, 10 GCB-like cases were non-GCB type. According to the survival analysis, GCB-like group had a better overall survival compared with that in ABC-like group ( P=0.019). Conclusion:NanoString fluorescent barcode technology can be successfully applied to the cell-of-origin subtyping of DLBCL, and the molecular subtyping strategy can effectively predict the prognosis of patients.
