RESUMEN

Objective@#This study aimed to estimate the clinical effects of different types of bone-anchored maxillary protraction devices by using a network meta-analysis. @*Methods@#We searched seven databases for randomized and controlled clinical trials that compared bone-anchored maxillary protraction with tooth-anchored maxillary protraction interventions or untreated groups up to May 2021. After literature selection, data extraction, and quality assessment, we calculated the mean differences, 95% confidence intervals, and surface under the cumulative ranking scores of eleven indicators. Statistical analysis was performed using R statistical software with the GeMTC package based on the Bayesian framework. @*Results@#Six interventions and 667 patients were involved in 18 studies. In comparison with the tooth-anchored groups, the bone-anchored groups showed significantly more increases in Sella-Nasion-Subspinale (°), Subspinale-Nasion-Supramentale(°) and significantly fewer increases in mandibular plane angle and the labial proclination angle of upper incisors. In comparison with the control group, Sella-NasionSupramentale(°) decreased without any statistical significance in all treated groups. IMPA (angle of lower incisors and mandibular plane) decreased in groups with facemasks and increased in other groups. @*Conclusions@#Bone-anchored maxillary protraction can promote greater maxillary forward movement and correct the Class III intermaxillary relationship better, in addition to showing less clockwise rotation of mandible and labial proclination of upper incisors. However, strengthening anchorage could not inhibit mandibular growth better and the lingual inclination of lower incisors caused by the treatment is related to the use of a facemask.

RESUMEN

Heart activity is highly dependent on adenosine triphosphate (ATP) produced via mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation. Traditional therapeutics has developed drugs by repairing damaged mitochondrial DNA, reducing mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and accelerating the degradation of damaged mitochondria and recycle. In recent years, however, mitochondrial replacement therapy has taken a different strategy, and has entered the clinical trial stage. This review will summarize the research progress of cardiovascular drugs targeting mitochondria and mitochondrial replacement therapy to provide a new perspective for addressing some relevant endemic diseases in China.

RESUMEN

The mitochondrial quality control system maintains mitochondrial homeostasis mainly through protein degradation, vesicle transport, and mitophagy. Mitochondrial biosynthesis, dynamics, and calcium ion play key regulative roles in mitochondrial quality control. Under normal conditions, the mitochondrial quality control system can work well. In recent years, studies have found that mitochondrial dysfunction is closely associated with the occurrence of heart failure. In order to understand mitochondrial function, this paper reviews mitochondrial quality control methods, regulatory factors and their potential therapeutic applications in heart failure.

RESUMEN

AIM: To apply Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC) identifying powder aqueous extracts and alcohol extracts of Radix et Rhizoma Salviae miltiorrhizae,Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae and Radix Paeonia rubra. METHODS: ?-Al_2O_3 was taken as the reference substance and under static state air condition, with the determination of the measuring range、the heating rate and temperature range of each herb or its extracts, the herbs were(identified) by comparing the characteristics and the peak profiles of their chromatography. RESULTS: There were the tiny differences in DSC chromatography among powder, aqueous extracts and alcohol extracts,DSC chromatography of the same herbs from two different areas were very close to each other. CONCLUSION: With great advantages of DSC method, such as very small amount of drugs,solvent-free.It is easy, quick and convenient to apply chromatography analyses.

RESUMEN

The -1031T/C polymorphism of tumor necrosis factor-? (TNF-?) gene was determined by PCR-RFLP in 54 patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmorpathy (TAO), 60 patients with autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) without ophthalmopathy and 76 healthy subjects. The results showed that the frequencies of TC+CC genotype and C allele in TAO group, especially in male patients, were significantly higher than those in the other two groups (both P
