RESUMEN

Introduction: Change in one's life when there is chronic kidney disease need support to change behavior. Non-compliance with treatment regimens in chronic kidney disease is common, and it is more rapid disease progression and mortality in this disease. This study aimed to determine the effect of nutrition education on dietary adherence in non-dialysis CKD is done


Method: It was a quasi-experimental before-after nonequivalent comparative group study. Eighty non-dialysis chronic kidney disease patients with Glomerular Filtration Rate of 15-60 ml/min/1.73 m[2] were recruited and assigned by randomly sampling either to comparison or experimental groups [n=40]. The experimental group received food diet training package and the control group received only usual care. Before and after 12 weeks, patients were evaluated by a questionnaire made by the researcher. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics [t-test and chi square] and repeated measure method using SPSS-PC [v.16]


Results: After 12 weeks, the mean of the experimental group [54.45] than the mean in comparison group [43.40] showed a greater increase. After intervention independent t-test and repeated measure method showed significant differences between the intervention and comparison groups [p= 0.001]


Conclusion: Chronic kidney disease awareness such practices in the educational use of diet is effective in improving adherence. So the nurse as a member of the medical team plays an important role in promoting awareness of the patients

RESUMEN

Introduction: Uremic syndrome is a clinical condition that is associated with physical problems are plentiful and annoyingly. Because urinary tract of chronic kidney patients is not able to exit of wastes products from the body normally, patients need shall adhere an appropriate diet. This study aimed to determine the effect of food diet training on the severity of physical problems in non-dialysis chronic kidney patients


Method: It was a quasi-experimental before-after nonequivalent comparative group study. Eighty non-dialysis chronic kidney disease patients with Glomerular Filtration Rate of 15-60 ml/min/1.73 m2 were recruited and assigned either to comparison or experimental groups [n=40]. The experimental group received food diet training package in 2 sessions of 2 hours and the control group received only usual care. Before and after 12 weeks, patients were evaluated by a Visual Analog Scale. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics [t-test and chi square] using SPSS-PC [v.16]


Results: After 12 weeks of intervention, problems related to muscle pain [P=0.04], itching [P=0.03], drowsy and weakness [P=0.001], numbness in hands and feet [P=0.03], bone pain [P=0.03] and tingling feet in intervention group than comparison group showed statistically significant difference


Conclusion: Awareness of non-dialysis chronic kidney patients such practices in the educational related to diet reduces of severity some of physical problems in the patients. So the nurse as a member of the medical team can many complications prevent with training and these patients also present problem to a minimum

RESUMEN

Like other chronic diseases, hypertension is closely related with lifestyle, mental health and quality of life. The goal of this study was Determination of health related quality of life in hypertensive patients. The study was Descriptive, samples were chosen by using convenience sampling and according to characteristics of samples and Their willingness to participate in the study. The data gathering tools in this study were Social and personal information [demographic] forms, and health-related quality of life questionnaire. [SF-36]. Clinical research environment at selected hospitals affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences consist of Hazrat Rasoul Akram Hospital, Imam Khomeini Hospital, and Shahid Rajai. To determine the relationship between. The main variable and demographic variables and use ANOVA and T-Test, we entered variables that were significant in our regression model. 264 patients with hypertension take part in this study. Most of Participants were male and their age was in range of 40-60 years old. Mean of quality of life among hypertensive patients was 55.33. There was a statistically significant relationship between quality of life and job, information about the disease, other chronic diseases and medication groups. The study shows that there health related quality of life is low in hypertensive patients
