RESUMEN
River blindness [Onchocerchiasis] is rampant and a major leading cause of blindness in Africa and some other parts of the world. The psychological impacts are reported and discussed, as encountered in this case of a 23 year-old Liberian male, who contracted the illness around three years ago, and had been partially treated, and is currently blind. He complained from depression and many adjustment difficulties
