RESUMEN

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction combined with bean embedding in ear points on patients with cervical vertigo. Methods:From May 2018 to October 2020, 160 cases of cervical vertigo patients with phlegm turbidity and moderate resistance in Jinhua Central Hospital were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, the research objects were divided into ear acupoint buried beans group (A group, n=53), Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction group (B group, n=54), Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction combined with ear-buried beans group (C group, n=53). The three groups were treated with ear point burying bean, Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction and Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction combined with ear point burying bean for 10 consecutive days. The clinical effect, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome score, cerebral blood flow velocity and hemorheology of the three groups were compared. Results:There was no significant difference in the total clinical effective rate between group B and group C ( P>0.05). The total clinical effective rate of group C was significantly higher than that of group A, the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). After treatment, scores of vertigo, neck and shoulder pain, headache and symptoms of daily life and work in 3 groups were significantly higher than before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05); The scores of TCM syndrome in group C were significantly higher than those in group A and group B, with statistical significance (all P<0.05). After treatment, the cerebral blood flow velocity of left vertebral artery (LVA), right vertebral artery (PVA), and basilar artery (BA) in the three groups were significantly increased compared with that before treatment, and the cerebral blood flow velocity of LVA, PVA, and BA in group C was significantly faster than that in A, B group, with statistical significance ( P<0.05). After treatment, the plasma viscosity, whole blood high shear viscosity and hematocrit of the patients in the three groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the cerebral blood flow velocity of group C was significantly lower than that of group A and group B ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction combined with ear acupoint buried beans in the treatment of cervical vertigo with middle resistance of phlegm and turbidity can improve the symptoms of cervical vertigo, cerebral blood flow velocity and reduce blood viscosity, which is worthy of clinical promotion.

RESUMEN

Objective:To explore the effect of auricular point pressing pill combined with rhubarb acupoint application on intestinal preparation and prevention of adverse events in colonoscopy. Methods:A total of 220 patients who met the inclusion criteria from May 2019 to February 2020 were randomly divided into 4 groups, 55 in each group. The control group was only given compound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder. The auricular plaster group was combined with auricular point pressing pill on the basis of the control group. The acupoint sticking group was combined with rhubarb acupoint application on the basis of the control group. The combination group was combined with auricular point pressing pill and rhubarb acupoint application on the basis of the control group. The quality of bowel preparation was evaluated by Boston Bowel Preparation Scale(BBPS), and the adverse events such as perianal discomfort, defecation discomfort, abdominal pain and abdominal distension were observed. Results:After treatment, there was significant difference in BBPS score among the four groups ( F=3.038, P=0.030). The BBPS score in the acupoint sticking group (7.45 ± 1.20 vs. 6.78 ± 1.32) and combination group (7.26 ± 1.11 vs. 6.78 ± 1.32) were significantly higher than those in the control group( P<0.05). After treatment, there were significant differences in abdominal pain and abdominal distension scores among the four groups ( F=2.947, 5.879, P=0.034, 0.001). The scores of perianal discomfort (0.07 ± 0.38 vs. 0.44 ± 1.07), defecation discomfort (0.40 ± 0.81 vs. 0.87 ± 1.32) and abdominal pain (0.93 ± 1.32 vs. 1.69 ± 1.61) in the combination group were significantly lower than those in the control group ( P<0.05), and the abdominal distension score (1.05 ± 1.00 vs. 1.64 ± 0.95) in the acupoint sticking was significantly lower than that of the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Auricular combined with rhubarb powder acupoint application can improve the quality of bowel preparation and reduce intestinal adverse reactions. It can be used with polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder for the intestinal preparation process.

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of TCM comprehensive therapy in the treatment of sleep apnea syndrome (SAS).Methods Eighty-two SAS patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups,41 in each group. The control group was treated with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP).The observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine, oral Chinese medicine, acupuncture, massage, and acupuncture points. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.Polysomnography (PSG) was used to evaluate the various stages of sleep, including total sleep time, hypopnea time,<90% oxygen saturation time. Results The total effective rate was 90.2% (37/41) of the observation group and 70.7% (29/41) of the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (x2=4.970,P=0.026).After treatment, the sleep time (5.5 ± 0.7 h vs.5.0 ± 0.6 h,t=3.556) of the treatment group was significantly longer than that of the control group (P<0.01).The hypoventilation time (45.1 ± 9.5 min vs.50.2 ± 10.1 min,t=2.412),<90% oxygen saturation time (19.8 ± 9.6 min vs.25.4 ± 10.1 min,t=2.635) was significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions Then comprehensive TCM therapy can alleviate the clinical symptoms of SAS patients, increase sleep time, and improve sleep quality.
