RESUMEN

Objective:To analyze the hotspots of international acupuncture research; To evaluate the influence of each hotspot; To explore its development trend. Methods:Acupuncture research related literature was retrieved from the Web of Science core database from January 1, 2019 to January 1, 2022. 42 highly cited literature was extracted using BICOMB 2.01 software, and a 42×42 co-occurrence matrix was constructed. A co-citation cluster analysis figure was drawn with SPSS 26.0 software. The CPT values of each hotspot identified in the cluster figure were computed using the formula CPT=(C/P)/T=C/(P·T). Bubble charts were drawn to show each hotspot's annual publication of articles. Results:Totally 23 research hotspots were identified, including consensus on the quality of evidence and recommendation intensity, assessment of the efficacy of acupuncture for chronic pain and analgesic mechanisms of acupuncture. The bubble chart showed that the annual attention of 23 hotspots varied, with 14 hotspots increasing year by year, 5 hotspots remaining stable, and only 4 hotspots decreasing year by year. Conclusions:The study has found that the direction of acupuncture research in the past three years focuses on acupuncture indication research, acupuncture mechanism research and evidence-based methodology research. China is the main contributor to the expansion of acupuncture indication research. The international trend of acupuncture development is obvious. Chinese acupuncture research faces greater competitive pressure, and the influence of core papers is insufficient.

RESUMEN

Objective:To analyze the trend, hotspots and frontiers of diabetic retinopathy (DR) therapy by bibliometric method. Methods:Data were taken from the Web of Science website of Science Citation Index. Articles from 2017 to 2021, which were related to the therapy of diabetic retinopathy (DR), were included. The bibliometric analysis softwares, VOSviewer and CiteSpace were used to generate and analyze visual representations of the complex data input, including high-frequency keywords, keywords with the strongest citation bursts and co-occurrence networks of keywords. Results:A total of 3,845 articles were included. The amounts of papers published from 2017 to 2021 is 633, 651, 708, 893, and 960 respectively, increasing over years. Chinese scholars published the most articles, followed by the United States. The number of articles funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China ranks third. There were 47 high-frequency keywords clustered into DR treatment, pathogenesis of DR, diagnosis of DR, Oxidative stress, diabetic macular edema (DME), type 2 diabetes, optical coherence tomography and deep learning. Those keywords were research hotspots and new keywords were constantly emerging. Among the top 11 burst words, the burst values of "intravitreal bevacizumab", "vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)", "choroidal neovascularization", "inhibition", and "receptors" were all over 10. Highly cited references showed a significant clustering tendency, which were treatment of DME, review of DR, clinical research of anti-VEGF drug therapy. Conclusions:The amount of paper related to DR therapy is on the rise; the specific treatment methods for the pathogenesis of DR are constantly research hotspots. In addition, formulating treatment strategies to reduce macular edema and other complications of diabetes, applying optical coherence tomography, deep learning and other technologies to improve the efficiency of DR diagnosis and treatment, improve targeted drug delivery systems, and finding new target points were research frontiers.

ABSTRACT The objective of this article was to carry out a bibliometric study of the RPMESP publications (2010-2019) in order to enable the improvement of the editorial management and decision-making processes of this and other journals with similar behavior. It is a descriptive study with bibliometric methodology that analyzes through productivity, collaboration and network indicators the main trends of the journal. The records were recovered from Scopus, which, after a standardization process, obtained 565 documents. 96% of the documents were published in Spanish and in collaboration (two or more authors), which reflects the greater interest of Latin American authors in publishing in collaboration in recent years. An incipient degree of international openness was observed when documents were received from countries such as the United States, Colombia, and Spain, a trend that needs to be continued in the search for a greater degree of internationality. Peru as a country and the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia as an institution had the greatest measures of centrality and power in network analysis. The strategic position of these nodes can be used by the RPMESP to establish strategies and strengthen collaborative relationships with all members of these networks. This step could improve the important role that the RPMESP plays in the scientific dissemination of medical studies in response to the great demands of today.
