RESUMEN
Dihydromyricetin (DMY) is the main flavonoid compound in Ampelopsis grossedentata. It is popular for various biological and pharmacological activities including antiflammatory, antibacterial, antitumor, regulating blood fat, hypolipidemic, and protecting liver function. Recently studies have suggested that DMY works as neuroprotective molecular, ameliorating neurological abnormal symptoms in the Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, alcohol addiction, major depression disorder and so on. This paper reviewed various pharmacological effects of DMY and analyzed detailedly its interactions with the neuropsychiatric drugs and chemotherapeutics in the metabolism and pharmacodynamics perspectives in the last decade. We further elucidate the role of DMY in the combined medication, aiming to provide scientific reference for its potential in clinic.
RESUMEN
In recent years, researches on the antibacterial experiments of single herb, extracts, monomer ingredients and the compound preparations have confirmed that a variety of Chinese meteria medica have good antibacterial effects, and they are not easily produced drug resistance. Ampelopsis grossedentata, which can be used as medicine and food, contains various biological ingredients. Among them, flavonoids have desired antibacterial effect and synergistic effect when combined with antibiotics. In this review, antibacterial effects of A. grossedentata were summarized from domestic and foreign study literatures in the recent decade, including the main antibacterial components, the antimicrobial effects, and mechanism of this medicinal plant, aming to provide reference for the studies on the physiological and pharmacological functions, clinical application, and product development of A. grossedentata.
RESUMEN
As a major flavonoid in the leaves of Ampelopsis grossedentata, dihydromyricelin has attracted wide attention in recent years. The pharmacological effect of the dihydromyricelin is clear, but the limitation on the clinical application of this drug comes from its chemical properties and low bioavailability. Nowadays, researching on advanced pharmaceutical preparation and new dosage forms in order to improve its chemical properties has become hot spots. Based on the review of related literatures, we discussed the research progress on advanced pharmaceutical preparation and new dosage forms of dihydromyricelin, such as liposomes, microcapsules, microemulsions, solid dispersion, inclusion compound, floating gastroretentive drug, etc. The main purpose is to point out the shortages of existing research and provide a reference for further study.
RESUMEN
As a major flavonoid in the leaves of Ampelopsis grossedentata, dihydromyricelin has attracted the wide attention in recent years. Studies showed that dihydromyricelin has multiple pharmacological effects, such as antitumor, anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, blood lipid regulation, anti-temulence and liver protection, antidiabetics, and anti-pathogeny microorganism. We made a summary for domestic and foreign study literatures for various pharmacological effects of dihydromyricelin in the recent decade, in the expectation of providing the scientific basis for the in-depth studies, as well as the utilization of dihydromyricelin and its medicinal resource.
