RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: At present, platelet-rich plasma has been used in bums, plastic surgery, surgery and orthopedics. However, due to the different standards for platelet-rich plasma preparation, the results of research on bums are controversial. OBJECTIVE: To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma in the repair of burn wounds. METHODS: A computer-based online search of CNKI, VIP, WanFang, CBMdisc, PubMed, Embase, CochraneLibrary, Web of Science databases to retrieve randomized controlled trials regarding platelet-rich plasma repair of bum wounds. In the treatment group, platelet-rich plasma therapy or platelet-rich plasma therapy combined with conventional or other therapies were used. In the control group, conventional therapy, other therapies, or placebo treatment were used. After literature screening, information extraction and quality evaluation, Review Manager 5.3 software was used for meta analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Eleven articles were included, involving 837 patients consisting of 420 patients in the treatment group and 417 patients in the control group. Meta analysis results revealed that the wound healing rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group [OR=12.61, 95%Cl (6.93,18.29), P<0.000 1], Wound healing time in the treatment group was significantly shorter than that in the control group [OR=-4.64, 95%Cl (-6.21, -3.06), P<0.000 01]. The number of layers of gauze soaked by dressing [OR=-4.01, 95%Cl (-4.91, -3.11), P<0.000 01], the times of changing inner gauze [OR=-3.79, 95%Cl (-5.33, -2.26), P<0.000 01, and the times of dressing change on wound surface [OR=-3.41, 95%Cl (-5.93, -0.88), P=0.008] in the treatment group were significantly less than those in the control group. The positive rate of bacterial culture in wound [OR=0.46, 95%Cl (0.22, 0.94), P=0.03] and the incidence of inflammatory reaction in wound [OR=0.30, 95%Cl (0.17, 0.56), P=0.000 1] in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group. The results suggested that platelet-rich plasma can increase the wound healing rate, shorten wound healing time, reduce the number of layers of gauze soaked by dressing, the times of changing inner gauze, and the times of dressing change on wound surface, and lower the positive rate of bacterial culture and the incidence of inflammatory reaction in wound.

BACKGROUND: In recent years, some scholars have proposed the use of medial femoral neck support plate combined with cannulated screw internal fixation to treat Pauwels type III femoral neck fracture. This method can reduce the incidence of complications such as nonunion of the femoral neck fracture and femoral head necrosis. However, it is still controversial whether this treatment can accelerate fracture healing and reduce femoral head necrosis in clinic. OBJECTIVE: Meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the difference in the efficacy of femoral medial support plate combined with cannulated screw internal fixation and simple cannulated screw internal fixation for the treatment of Pauwels type III femoral neck fracture. METHODS: Cochrane Library, PubMed, Wanfang Medical Network, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and China Journal Full-text Database were used to search for and collect the clinical Chinese and English literature of the trials regarding Pauwels III femoral neck fracture treated with internal femoral support plate combined with cannulated screw internal fixation and simple cannulated screw internal fixation. Two evaluators independently conducted quality evaluation, data extraction and cross-checking of the included studies, and finally performed meta-analysis on the collected data using RevMan 5.3 software. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) After screening, 5 related clinical trials were included, including 4 randomized controlled trials and 1 retrospective cohort study, for a total of 243 patients with Pauwels III femoral neck fracture. (2) Meta-analysis results showed that compared with simple cannulated internal fixation, operation time was longer [MD=23.19, 95%C/(8.32, 38.06), P=0.002], intraoperative blood loss was more [MD=83.48, 95%C/(32.08, 134.89), P=0.001], and healing time was shorter [MD=-1.56, 95%C/(-1.89, -1.24), P < 0.000 01], the incidence of complications was lower [RD=-0.07, 95%C/(-0.11, -0.02), P=0.003], and hip Harris score was higher [MD=7.39, 95%C/(3.18, 60), P=0.000 6] in the femoral medial support plate combined with cannulated screw internal fixation. However, there was no statistically significant difference in the excellent and good rate of hip function between the two treatments [OR=1.29, 95%C/(0.02, 74.86), P=0.90]. (3) In the treatment of Pauwels type III femoral neck fracture, compared with simple cannulated nail fixation, cannulated screws combined with medial support plate can shorten healing time, reduce postoperative complications and elevate postoperative Harris score.

Objective@#To explore the clinical application value of closed negative pressure drainage technique in the treatment of external foot injury.@*Methods@#Sixty-eight patients with hand and foot trauma admitted to the Enze Hospital of Taizhou Enze Medical Center (Group) from November 2017 to November 2018 were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group according to the digital table, with 34 cases in each group.The control group underwent routine skin grafting.The observation group underwent closed vacuum drainage.The therapeutic effects, wound healing rate and clinical observation indicators were compared between the two groups.@*Results@#The total effective rate (88.24%) and the overall wound healing rate (100.00%) in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (64.71%, 79.41%) (χ2=5.231, 7.803, P=0.022, 0.005). The operation time[(5.92±1.02)h], wound healing time[(16.65±8.01)d] and hospitalization time[(31.42±13.05)d] in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group[(8.33±1.65)h, (23.51±12.12)d, (46.35±18.89)d](t=7.244, 2.753, 3.792, P=0.001, 0.008, 0.001).@*Conclusion@#Application of closed negative pressure drainage technique in hand and foot trauma surgery can effectively improve clinical efficacy, accelerate the healing speed of wounds, and reduce the operation time and hospitalization time of patients.It is worthy of promotion.

Objective To analyse effect of Danhong injection on serum levels of bone markers and healing time in postoperative patients with tibial fractures.Methods 52 patients who were diagnosed with tibial fractures in our hospital were collected and randomly divided into control group and experimental group.All patients were treated with intramedullary nailing.After the operation, on the basis of routine treatment, patients in control group were treated with ossotide injection 50 mg, dissolved in 250 mL 0.9% sodium chloride solution, one times per day.Patients in experimental group was treated with Danhong injection 20 mL, dissolved in 250 mL 0.9% sodium chloride solution, one times per day.14 days for one period of treatment, two groups were treated for two cycles.After the treatment,the serum levels of bone Gla-protein (BGP), carboxyterminal propeptide of typeⅠprocollagen (PICP), bone alkaline phosphatase (BALP) and the racture healing time were detected in all patients.Results Compared with control group post-treatment, the serum BGP and PICP levels were higher in experimental group (P<0.05);the serum BALP level was higher in experimental group (P<0.05); the average fracture healing time of the patients in experimental group was shorter (P<0.05).Conclusion Danhong injection can significantly increase the serum BGP, PICP and BALP level in postoperative patients with tibial fractures, shorten fracture healing time.

Objective To evaluate the recent impact and long-term effects of recombinant human acidic fibroblast growth factor (rh-aFGF) of cesarean section on women's abdominal incision healing.Methods In 516 cases of cesarean section in women,randomly divided into placebo group (172 cases),spray group (172 cases) and flush group (172 cases).The placebo group received 0.9% sodium chloride washing abdominal incision suture.The spray group incision suture direcdy after the administration of rh-aFGF spray,per square meter of 3-4 sprays,3-5 times/d.The flush group was given before 2 rh-aFGF dissolved in 10-20 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride directly after washing the incision suture,then given spray treatment.The recent follow-up of 15 d observed maternal abdominal incision healing.Long term follow-up of 3 months to observe the incision scar formation.Results The abdominal incision heating time was (8.6 ±3.5) d,that was obviously shorter than that in spray group (10.4 ±3.7) d and placebo group (12.7 ± 4.9) d (P < 0.05).The delay healing accounted for 4.2% (7/166) in flush group,significantly lower than that in placebo group (34/168,20.2%) and spray group (16/165,9.7%) (P< 0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of fat liquefaction,postoperative infection among three groups (P > 0.05).Flush group exudation,abdominal wall adhesions was lower than placebo group and spray group [2.4%(4/166) vs.10.1%(17/168),5.5%(9/165),3.6%(6/166) vs.17.3%(29/168),9.7%(16/165)](P<0.05).Long term follow-up,flush group scar area than spray group reduced by 13.5%,than placebo group reduced by 27.2%.Conclusions A recent rh-aFGF can reduce the cesarean section abdominal incision healing time and reduce abdominal wall adhesions and exudation;rh-aFGF the best dosage is intraoperative irrigation treatment spray combined with postoperative.

RESUMEN

PURPOSE: To compare the results of transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy (trans PRK) and brush-assisted photorefractive keratectomy (brush PRK) for the treatment of myopia. METHODS: A total of 146 eyes from 78 patients who received brush PRK or trans PRK with the Schwind Amaris laser platform were included in the present study. Uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA) and manifest refraction spherical equivalent (MRSE) at postoperative 1 week, 1, 3, 6, and 12 months were compared between the 2 groups as well as epithelial healing time. RESULTS: The mean time to complete epithelial healing was 3.27 +/- 0.75 days in the trans PRK group and 3.67 +/- 0.93 days in the brush PRK group (P < 0.05). At 1 week after surgery, UDVA recovered more rapidly after trans PRK than brush PRK (brush PRK: 0.13 +/- 0.12 log MAR units, trans PRK: 0.09 +/- 0.08 log MAR units, P < 0.05), however, UDVA was not significantly different at 1, 3, 6, and, 12 months postoperatively between the 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS: Re-epithelialization and visual recovery were faster in the trans PRK group while visual outcome and postoperative complications were equivalent to the brush PRK group.

Introducción: El cianoacrilato de butilo es un material de síntesis de tejidos, presenta innumerables ventajas como un tiempo de aplicación corto, fácil ejecución, carácter hemostático, bacteriostático, biodegradable y una adecuada fuerza tensil. Objetivo: Evaluar histológicamente la biocompatibilidad del cianoacrilato de butilo en el lomo de rata en comparación con la seda negra trenzada y la poliglactina 910. Materiales y métodos: Se emplearon 36 ratas albinas de raza Wixtar. Se dividieron aleatoriamente en 4 grupos (A, B, C y D) correlacionados con los periodos de sacrificio (3°, 7°, 14° y 21° día) respectivamente. Se realizaron 3 incisiones de 2 cm de longitud en el lomo de rata. Los parámetros histológicos fueron: infiltrado inflamatorio de células polimorfonucleares, fibroblastos jóvenes y engrosamiento de la epidermis. Resultados: El cianoacrilato de butilo ocasionó menor infiltrado polimorfonuclear en comparación con los otros materiales utilizados. Los picos de proliferación fibroblástica en los grupos tratados con cianoacrilato de butilo fueron superiores al resto. El engrosamiento de la epidermis mostró la alta capacidad mitótica de los queratinocitos para remodelar el epitelio. Al 14° y 21° día, la mayoría de los tejidos tratados con cianoacrilato de butilo ya se encontraban totalmente remodelados en comparación con el resto. Conclusiones: El cianoacrilato de butilo es un material biocompatible con los tejidos, permitiendo disminuir el tiempo de cicatrización de los mismos.


Introduction: N-Butyl-cyanoacrylate is a tissue-synthesis material. It offers countless advantages: short application time, easy execution, as well as possessing hemostatic character. This material is bacteriostatic, biodegradable, and exhibits suitable tensile strength. Objective: The objective of the present paper was the histological evaluation of n-butyl-cyanoacrylate biocompatibility on rats dorsum (spine), compared to braided black silk and Polyglactin 910. Materials and Methods: Thirty six Wixtar albino rats were used for the procedure. They were randomly divided into four groups (A, B, C, D) related to the time of sacrifice (3rd, 7th, 14th and 21st day) respectively. On the rats' spine, three 2 cm long incisions were performed. Histological parameters were as follows: polymorphonuclear cell inflammatory infiltrate, young fibroblasts and epidermis thickening. Results: N-butyl-cyanoacrylate caused lesser polymorphonuclear infiltrate when compared to other used materials. Fibroblast proliferation peaked in groups treated with n-butyl-cyanoacrylate when compared to the rest. Epidermis thickening showed high mitotic ability of keratocytes to remodel epithelium. At the 14th and 21st days most tissues treated with N-Butyl-cyanoacrylate were found to be completely remodeled when compared to the rest. Conclusion: N-butyl-cyanoacrylate was shown to be the most biocompatible material, since it elicited shortest healing time.

Background: Wound healing mechanisms still unclear. Wounds are physical injuries that result in an opening or breaking of the skin. Proper healing of wounds is essential for the restoration of disrupted anatomical continuity and disturbed functional status of the skin. This is a product of the integrated response of several cell types to injury. Wound healing is a complex process that results in the contraction and closure of the wound and restoration of a functional barrier.Goal: The purpose of this study was to determine burn wound healing activity of Calvacin. Materials and Methods:We used in study as colored reaction thin layer chromatography (TLC) and UV-spectrophotometer methods to determine active compounds in the three component drug "Calvacin".In research were inducted 20 healthy white mice and 40 rats. Investigation was based and implemented at scientific research laboratory of Traditional Medical Science Technology and Production Corporation and Institute of Veterinary medicine of pathological laboratory. The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Health.Results:Results of the phytochemical investigations showed that contained in the new drug "Calvacin" determined the presence of bioactive substances such as flavonoids, saponin, tannin, curcuminoids, organic acids and minerals. Substance was absorbed 25.7% in 40 grade ethanol, 27.1% in 70 grade, 22.2% in 96 grade and 19.6% in sterile water. We was established quality quantities of Calvacin in the drug amount summary flavonoids 1% and determined by UV spectrophotometer method. Objective To investigate the clinic efficacy of Qiwei Liaoshang Powder on empyrosis. Methods 176inpatients suffering empyrosis were included in our study. A prospective randomized study was adopted to evaluate the efficacy of Qiwei Liaoshang Powder, while exposure therapy of San Huang Cream was taken as control. Bacteria culture,healing time, and pain of wounds were compared. Results Qiwei Liaoshang Powder had less healing time, pain and infection rate than San Huang Cream. Conclusion Qiwei Liaoshang Powder is effective to treat empyrosis.

@#: Objective To explore the effect of ultraviolet with specialized electro-magnetic wave on pressure sore.Methods105 sores in 80 patients were divided into ultraviolet with specialized electro-magnetic wave group and the routine group.Healing time for the sores was observed.ResultsHealing rate of pressure sore within 5 d was 94.1% and 40.5% in the ultraviolet with specialized electro-magnetic wave group and the routine group,respectively (P<0.001).ConclusionThe efficacy of ultraviolet with specialized electro-magnetic wave is superior to routine therapy on pressure sore.

Objective To observe the effect of Yuhonggao on proliferation and differentiation of epidermal stem cells and investigate the mechanism of promoting wound healing. Methods The whole layer skin defection rat was used and randomly divided into 3 groups:Yuhonggao group,Jingwanhong group,model group,with normal rats as control. RESUMEN

PURPOSE: To compare the efficacy and safety of photorefractive keratectomy with laser epithelial keratomileusis, for low to moderate myopia. METHODS: Patients with a manifest refraction less than -6.0 diopters were enrolled in this study. Patients were treated with photorefractive keratectomy (47 eyes) or laser epithelial keratomileusis (42 eyes). Preoperative and postoperative uncorrected visual acuity, refractive errors, keratometry, residual central corneal thickness, epithelial healing time, and corneal haze were evaluated for a 1 year follow-up period. RESULTS: There were no significant differences between photorefractive keratectomy and laser epithelial keratomileusis in uncorrected visual acuity, refractive errors or correction of refractive errors. Residual central corneal thickness increased until 6 months postoperative and thereafter in both photorefractive keratectomy and laser epithelial keratomileusis groups. There were no significant changes in keratometry after postoperative 1 month. Epithelial healing time of photorefractive keratectomy was shorter than that of laser epithelial keratomileusis. Corneal haze score had a peak at 1 month postoperative and then decreased rapidly until 3 months postoperative, it was stable after 6 months. Corneal haze score at 1 month was less than 0.5 in both groups and did not disturb visual acuity. CONCLUSIONS: Photorefractive keratectomy and laser epithelial keratomileusis have an equal effect in correction of visual acuity and refractive errors. They have equivalent levels of safety as measured by postoperative residual central corneal thickness and corneal haze. Both procedures are effective methods to correct low to moderate myopia.
