RESUMEN

@# Objective: To explore the association between the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of rs175048 in ataxia telangiectasia mutated (ATM) gene and lung cancer susceptibility in Han population. Methods: A total of 225 cases of blood samples from lung cancer patients treated in Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Hengyang City and the Affiliated First Hospital of Nanhua University from October 2015 to August 2016 were collected as case group, and 128 cases of blood samples from healthy people were collected as the control. The polymorphisms of ATM rs175048 of above mentioned participants were detected by using the SNP sensitive On/Off Switch technique. The genotypes and allele frequencies were analyzed to compare the distribution difference between case group and control group as well as its association to the clinical features of lung cancer. Results: The genotype frequencies of AA, AT and TT of ATM rs175048 were 24.9%, 52.9%, 22.2% in case group and 42.2%, 42.2%, 15.6% in control group, respectively (all P< 0.01). Moreover, the frequencies of alleles A and T were 51.0%, 49.0% in case group, and 63.0%, 37.0% in control group (all P<0.01). Genotype TT might increase while genotype AT might decrease the risk of lung cancer. rs175048 SNP was significantly correlated with smoking, age, sex and family history (all P<0.05). Conclusion: rs175048 SNPis significantly associated with lung cancer, and TT genotype may increase the risk of lung cancer.

RESUMEN

Objective:To analyze intestinal parasite infection and its epidemiological characteristics in HIV/AIDS patients. Methods:An epidemiological survey was carried out by random sampling of HIV/AIDS patients in Hengyang. The samples of the HIV/AIDS patients′stool were collected to detect intestinal parasite. Results: The overall infection rate of intestinal parasite in HIV/AIDS patients was 40.13%.The infection rates of Cryptosporidium,Blastocystis hominis,Giardia lamblia, microsporidia,Amiba protozoa in HIV/AIDS patients were 13.16%, 9.87%, 9.21%, 5.26%, 2.63%.The infection rate of the five types of intestinal parasites in HIV/AIDS patients were significantly different( P<0.05).The infection rate of intestinal parasite was 30.12%in the urban HIV/AIDS patients while it was 52.17% in the countryside ( P<0.05 ).The infection rate of intestinal parasite on health habits, different stages of the disease were also significantly different(P<0.05).The infection rates of intestinal parasite with different CD4+T cell counts(<200,200-499,≥500 cells/μl) were respectively 64.81%,48.84%,9.09%.And the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The infection rates of intestinal parasite in HIV/AIDS patients was associated with parasite species, health habits, stage of the disease, patients′living environment and CD4+T cell count but was not associated with on patients′age, gender, their education or economic income.Examination of intestinal parasite should be included among routine examination project for HIV/AIDS patients.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the characteristics and ecological risk assessment of heavy metals pollution in the fluvial sediment in Hengyang section of Xiang river. Methods The fluvial sediments in 18 sites in 10 sections of Hengyang section of Xiang river were collected for determination of heavy metals(Cu,Zn,As,Hg,Cd,Cr,Pb) in 2007.The accumulation levels of heavy metals in the fluvial sediment and their potential ecological risks were assessed by the Hankanson potential ecological risk(PER) factors method. Results The average potential ecological risk index of Cd in sediment of Xiang river was 352.1 with the highest ecological risk, the index of Hg was 272.1 with higher ecological risk, the index of Pb and As was 150.1 and 104.7 with high ecological risk, the index of Cr,Zn and Cu were all lower than 40 with low ecological risk.On the whole, the integrated pollution index of seven kinds of heavy metal was 913.4.Conclusion The fluvial sediment of Hengyang section of Xiang rive has been polluted by heavy metals in a certain degree and is characterized as a complex pollution situation with a higher ecological risk.
