RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of radial head prosthesis replacement in treatment of comminuted fracture of the radial head and discuss relative operative announcements. Methods There were 27 patients with comminuted fracture of the radial head who were treated with radial head prosthesis replacement. Results Of all,26 patients were followed up for averaged 14months.According to Broberg score, the post-operative function was excellent in 9 patients(35%),good in 13(50%)and fair in 4(15%),with no poor results and with excellence rate of 85%. Conclusion Radial head prosthesis replacement can better restore the stability, flexion and extension of the elbow as well as the rotational motion of the forearm and is worthy of clinical application.

RESUMEN

Objective: To observe the interface bonding between the coral and new bone. Methods: The block coral was implanted on rabbit calvaria subperiosteally. The specimens were observed by the scanning electron microscopy 2, 4, 8, 12 weeks after operation respectively. Results: The coral was progressively absorbed and replaced by new bone. The coral bond to bone directly. No intervening layer was found between coral and bone. Conclusion: The coral bond to bone by direct mechanical way. [

RESUMEN

Objective To report the treatment of intracranial fusiform or wide-necked aneurysms with combined endovascular stenting and Guglielmi detachable coils packing, and to evaluate its indication, technique, outcome, and complications. Methods The coronary stents were implanted across the necks of 5 fusiform aneurysms and 12 wide-necked aneurysms. Microcatheters were introduced into the aneurysmal sac through stent mesh, and GDCs were used to embolize the aneurysms. Results The stents were deployed in 16 cases, and total occlusion was obtained in 13 cases, while more than 90% in 3 cases. One aneurysm was embolized with GDCs alone after the attempt of stenting was failed. All the patients recovered well with patency of the parent arteries. Conclusion Endovascular therapy combined with stent implantation and microcoil placement may be a valid alteration for the treatment of intracranial fusiform or wide-necked aneurysms. Further study was necessary for long-term outcome.
