RESUMEN

Post-stroke depression (PSD) is a common emotional disorder after stroke, which can affect cognitive function of patients and have adverse effect on post-stroke recovery. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) can reveal the microstructure of white matter. At present, it has been applied in the study of the pathogenesis of various diseases. This article reviews the application of DTI technology in depression, stroke, and PSD, aiming to make early predictions of PSD from multiple perspectives to improve its outcomes.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the clinical effect of excision of peripheral sympathetic nerve network in common carotid artery on children with cerebral palsy (CP)and the effect on their cognitive function. Methods A ret-rospective study method was admitted to preschool children with CP in 69 cases in Center of Brain Disease, the Third Hospital Affiliated to Xinxiang Medical University from July 2008 to August 2014, the common carotid artery sympathetic with the surrounding network stripping off resection treatment of 43 cases ( surgery group) ,without the use of surgery in the treatment of children with 26 cases ( no operation group) . The muscle tension improved, movement to improve the ability of 2 groups before and after treatment 6 months were detected and compared. Developmental quotient ( DQ) ,intelligence quotient ( IQ) ,bilateral middle cerebral artery ( MCA) hemodynamic index difference were deter-mined between 2 groups before and after treatment 6 months. Results After treatment 6 months, the muscle tension score and walking ability score of the surgery group were significantly better than those of no operation group [(2. 2± 1. 1) scores vs (4. 5±0. 6)scores,(3. 5±0. 7) scores vs (2. 7±0. 8) scores, all P<0. 05],and significantly improved compared with before treatment[(4. 8±0. 6)scores,(2. 2±0. 9)scores,all P<0. 05]. After treatment 6 months, the IQ score, fine motor, social adaptation, personal social, language score and MCA mean velocity ( MV ) , peak velocity ( PV) ,resistance index ( RI) ,pulsatility index ( PI) determination value of the surgery group were significantly higher than those of no operation group and before treatment (all P<0. 05). Conclusions Excision of peripheral sympathetic nerve network on common carotid artery has a good clinical effect in the treatment of CP , and can significantly improve the cognitive function of children with CP .

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: This study was conducted to ascertain the correlation between preserved pelvic nerve networks and bladder function after laparoscopic nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy. METHODS: Between 2009 and 2011, 53 patients underwent total laparoscopic radical hysterectomies. They were categorized into groups A, B, and C based on the status of preserved pelvic nerve networks: complete preservation of the pelvic nerve plexus (group A, 27 cases); partial preservation (group B, 13 cases); and complete sacrifice (group C, 13 cases). To evaluate bladder function, urodynamic studies were conducted preoperatively and postoperatively at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery. RESULTS: No significant difference in sensory function was found between groups A and B. However, the sensory function of group C was significantly lower than that of the other groups. Group A had significantly better motor function than groups B and C. No significant difference in motor function was found between groups B and C. Results showed that the sensory nerve is distributed predominantly at the dorsal half of the pelvic nerve networks, but the motor nerve is predominantly distributed at the ventral half. CONCLUSION: Various types of total laparoscopic nerve-sparing radical hysterectomies can be tailored to patients with cervical carcinomas.

RESUMEN

Objective To analyze factors affecting the expenses of inpatients and their comprehensive force of influence so as to check irrational increases of medical expenses. Methods Data on hospitalization expenses for disease entities ranking in the first ten places in a third tier hospital in 1997 were taken as samples and a statistical analysis was conducted of the medical expenses incurred in the discharged cases by means of the nerve network model. Results Major factors affecting hospitalization expenses were days of hospitalization, pre hospitalization conditions, pre operation length of stay and age, the comprehensive force of influence of which was respectively 0 4879 , 0 2124 , 0 1847 and 0 0612 . Conclusion To check the irrational increases of medical expenses, we must focus our efforts on the reduction of expenses for medicine and shorten days of hospitalization and pre operation length of stay.
