RESUMEN
Objective:To explore the role of the cognitive conflict theory combined with knowledge internalization teaching strategy in improving the core competence of nursing interns in the department of internal medicine. Methods:A total of 100 nursing interns in our department were randomly selected and divided into control group (provided with traditional teaching) and study group (provided with the cognitive conflict theory combined with knowledge internalization teaching strategy) according to the teaching methods. After one month of teaching, two groups were compared for the comprehensive competence, learning engagement, and assessment results. The t-test, chi-square test, or rank sum test was performed using SPSS 26.0. Results:The teaching quality score and degree of satisfaction with teaching in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group [(18.38±0.71) vs. (17.95±0.84), P<0.05]; the comprehensive competence, core competence score, and learning engagement subitem scores in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group ( P<0.05); the theory score and skill score in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The cognitive conflict theory combined with knowledge internalization teaching strategy can effectively improve the quality of nursing teaching, effectively enhance the learning engagement of nursing interns, help improve the comprehensive competence and core competence of nursing interns, enable them to better acquire clinical nursing knowledge, and improve their satisfaction with clinical teaching.
RESUMEN
Objective To investigate the clinical application effect of the optimized hierarchical management model based on the advanced system of nursing professional competence. Methods A total of 500 nurses from 5 secondary or tertiary hospitals in Dazu district of Chongqing were selected and randomly divided into intervention group and control group, with 250 nurses in each group. The traditional management model was adopted for the control group, and the optimized hierarchical management model based on the advanced professional competence system was adopted for the intervention group. The two groups were compared in terms of nursing ability, clinical work quality, and incidence rate of adverse events. All the data were analyzed by SPSS 23.0,Chi-square test and t test were used for statistical analysis. Results There were no significant differences in age, sex, marital status, professional title, and working years between the two groups (P>0.05).The baseline data were consistent and comparable.Compared with the control group, the intervention group had significantly higher scores of nursing ability [(82.30 ± 3.83) vs.(72.78 ± 5.33)] and nursing quality [(97.53 ± 9.71) vs.(90.17 ± 8.18)].The intervention group had a significantly lower incidence rate of adverse events than the control group [(0.9% vs.3.9%),P<0.05].Conclusion The optimized hierarchical management model for nursing staff based on the advanced professional competence system can improve the professional competence and clinical nursing quality of nursing staff, reduce the incidence rate of adverse events, and provide a reference for improving the level of nursing management.
RESUMEN
Objective To describe the characteristics of nursing competence and self efficacy of new nurses in a tumor hospital and to explore the correlative relationship between them. Methods By convenience sampling method, a total of 303 new nurses who were employed in 2013 to 2015 from a tumor hospital were recruited in the study. A self-designed demographic questionnaire, the nursing competence scale (NCS) and the general self-efficacy scale (GSES) were used. Results The average score of nursing competence of new nurses was (83.80 ± 10.35) points. Among the six dimensions of nursing competence, the interpersonal relation competence had the highest score of (86.74 ± 10.55) points, while the nursing process applying competence had the lowest score of (81.41 ± 11.02) points. The level of nursing competence and each dimensions were positively related with self-efficacy (r=0.443-0.557, P<0.01). Conclusions The level of nursing competence of new nurses in a tumor hospital is good, but the nursing process applying competence, critical patient care competence and the health education competence were still insufficient, so it is necessary to take corresponding measures to improve the overall quality of new nurses. Self efficacy can effectively predict the nursing competence of new nurses. The hospital can improve the nursing competence by intervene the self efficacy of new nurses, in order to improve the clinical nursing quality and promote the development of nursing.

RESUMEN
Objectives: To reveal nursing competence acquired by nursing students via role-playing (RP) exercises and define the learning points necessary for acquiring practical nursing skills. Methods: Qualitative content analysis was performed using debriefing sheets (DSs) for adult nursing RP. There were 109 participants. Results: The DSs of 69 individuals who met the selection criteria were used as base data, and 1179 data items were extracted. The results showed that the structure included 3 main themes, 8 subthemes, 31 categories, and 121 subcategories. Conclusion: The results indicated that participants noticed the underlying elements that make up practical nursing skills, analyzed them using advance organizers based on previously learned knowledge, and applied the acquired practical nursing skills to newly proposed strategies for continuous self-management for adult patients with chronic disease and their families. One aspect of nursing competence, "ability to improve nursing quality," could not be extracted; the elucidation of this acquisition process is a task for future research.
RESUMEN
PURPOSE: This study was to evaluate the strengthening process of advanced beginner's nursing competence through the concept mapping methods. METHODS: This study was conducted with focus group study for 1 month from November to December 2012 (n=5). Data were analyzed through open coding, axial coding and selection coding stage. RESULTS: Advanced beginner to represent the experience of nursing empowerment and the three categories of the nine concepts were derived. The first category is 'able to see the entire search.' This concept is to start a search query, the search process of thinking, behavior change is expected. The second category is 'behavior change through the acquisition of knowledge.', and this concept is the embodiment of knowledge, confidence rising, and action changing. The third category is 'nursing empowerment', the aesthetic, ethical, and personal knowledge acquisition, as well as self-growth. CONCLUSION: Advanced beginner saw the full flow through the concept mapping and obtained knowledge, and changed behavior. Thus, the concept mapping is effective to strengthen the nursing competence.

Objective To construct the evaluation index system of clinical nursing competence for higher vocational nursing skills contest. Methods A total of 31 nursing experts participated in the three-round consultation by Delphi technique, and empirically tested the final result. Results The response rates of questionnaire investigation for the three-round were 93.6%(29/31),100.0%(29/29) and 100.0%(29/29) respectively. The specialist authority coefficient was 0.861,and the coordination coefficients for each round were 0.207,0.291 and 0.371, respectively, P<0.01.The overall reliability coefficient was 0.921, evaluators reliability correlation coefficient was 0.942. There were significant correlation between each item and total score, P<0.05. The overall degree of differentiation was 0.523. Finally, the clinical nursing competence assessment system for higher vocational nursing skills contest was constructed, including 3 first-level indexes,10 second-level indexes and 39 third-level items. Conclusions The results of three-round expert consultation are reliable, the reliability, validity and differentiation are high. To evaluate clinical nursing ability higher vocational nursing students provide scientific basis.
