In order to guide methodologically the Cell and Molecular Biology Professors by means of video conferences to the students of the 1st academic year of medicine according to the College Out-patient Project, it was designed a program with the most important methodological aspects for preparing the professors. By means of imaging in Power points, the aspects related to the Subject and their organizations from the didactic point of view in five systems were given: Objectives Knowledge, Skill, Classes and Evaluation giving also the general indications for the study of the Subject. It was emphasized the methodological structure and the role of the Professor in the different ways of organization of the teaching process within the syllabus .A study of the syllabus (8) was performed demonstrating the importance of the teaching systematization as well as the way of organization of the contents beginning from the lower level up to the higher. It is concluded that video-conferences for the methodological orientations represents an useful tool for the Professors of the Biomedical Science and specially for those are not near and lack of the possibilities of the frequent personal communication with the methodological assessors in the mother facility.

RESUMEN

Teaching in out-patient clinic is a new and unique teaching mode, which is characteristic of one-to-one tutoring experiences.Students are put in the key positions while mentors serve as assistants in the whole process.By means of repeated practicing,summing-ups and perceiving, students improve their ability to combine theory with practice, enhance capabilities of communication, enrich their social experience and increase their talent of independent working.Meanwhile, further trainings may endow our medical students with better abilities of summarization.Through practice, teaching clinic has been proved to be a reasonable teaching mode which deserves promotion.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE :To explore the influencing factors of rational drug use(RDU)and time length of effect after intervention on RDU.METHODS:A field investigation was carried out on the core indices of international RDU index by the way of comparison. The investigation was carried out at three stages:1 year before intervention,1 year after intervention, and 4 years after intervention.Data statistics was analyzed by SPSS 11.1 software.RESULTS:The number of drug varieties per capita dropped from 2.76(before intervention)to 2.09(1 year after intervention),and remained 2.08(P

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: It is one of the important strategies to maintain a appropriate body weight and blood pressure by diet and exercise for the elderly. But there is some difficulties to perform the specific diet therapy continuously at the primary medical environment. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the brief diet education by physician on body weight and blood pressure for the elderly at the out patient clinic. METHOD: A retrospective design reviewing medical record with elderly(60 and over 60 years) men and women(N=110) from who had complete medical record when they visited first and revisited. 70 samples(education group) attended at the diet education with physician, 40 samples were non education group. For education group, we performed general diet principal, and investigated the change of body weight, diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure at the first visit, one month, and three month. RESULT: there was significant difference on the both group's body weight, diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure according to diet education. Body weight, diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure were decreased average 0.98+/-2.01 kg, 10.33+/-15.60mmHg, 4.97+/-9.16 mmHg on education group, but there is no significant difference on non education group. CONCLUSION: A brief diet education can be a very useful method for management of body weight and blood pressure for the elderly in the way of cost-effectiveness. Also we can obtain more higher educational effect with regular practice.

RESUMEN

This study aimed to establish the mean age of menopausal in Thai women. One thousand women, aged 40-69 years, were interviewed with a structured questionnaire at the Out-Patient Department, ceased to menstruate. The mean age with standard deviation among this group of women was 51.24 + 3.79 years by Probit analysis. However, among these 596 women 514 could recall their actual age at menopause. This mean age with standard deviation was 48.68 + 2.31 years. Thus, there is a statistically significant difference between the two values (P<0.01).

RESUMEN

The Chemonucleolysis at out-patient clinic(OPD) is a new option in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. The authors performed 39 cases of Chemonucleolysis with this method since Mar. 1992. All but 2 cases had excellent or good results without any complications. This OPD chemonucleolysis was thought to be a very useful method that gave various benefits to both of the patient and the hospital. To the patient, Socioeconomical and psychological benefits such as cost reduction and short hospital periods would be obtained. And to the hospital, Increasing outcome could be obtained by the improving hospital circulation of the patients who needed admission. For the best results, complete pre-operative evaluation and strict application of indication was essential. Proper home care guide was also needed because the home care was occasionally required from several days to a few months.
