RESUMEN

Objective: To study the effect of Maitork (a sodium chloride injection containing Ginkgo bioba extract and ligustrazine phosphate) on plasma levels of fibrinogen (Fg), platelet granule membrane protein 140 (GMP-140), tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) after focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in rats. Methods: Eighty male SD rats were randomly allocated into groups 3-day (n=40) and 7-day (n=40) after operation. Then each group was divided into 4 subgroups: sham-operation, ischemia control, Ginaton and Maitork. The focal cerebral ischemia model was established in rats. The activities of GMP-140 and tPA were measured by chromogenic substrate assay, and the level of Fg was measured by gel plaque assay. Results: The level of Fg in the Ginaton group was significantly higher than that in the ischemia control group, and the 7-day group was also significantly higher than that in the Maitork group (P

RESUMEN

Objectives: To explore the role of liver in the process of severe acute pancreatitis. Methods:Comparing the survival time, the endotoxin level of plasma and ascites , the IL-6 level of serum and ascites, the platelet granule membrane protein-140 (GMP-140) level of plasma and the histology change of lung between control group, portocaval shunting group(PC), acute necrotic pancreatitis (ANP) group and acute necrotic pancreatitis immediately after portocaval shunt(PC+ANP) group of rats. Measuring the serum IL-6 of control group, portocaval shunt control group (injecting normal saline through caval vein, PCJ), ascites injecting group (AJ) and ascites injecting portocaval shunt group (PC+AJ). Results: The survival time of PC+ANP group was much shorter than those of the other groups, and its plasma endotoxin , serum IL-6 and plasma GMP-140 levels were higher than those of the other groups (P

RESUMEN

The gray platelet syndrome (GPS) is a rare platelet storage pool deficiency with variable degrees of reduction in the numbers and contents of alpha granules. We report a case of GPS in a two month-old male patient who was admitted to the hospital because of congenital biliary atresia and hip dislocation under the impression of ARC (arthroglyposis, renal tubular dysfunction, and cholestasis) syndrome. Bleeding time was not prolonged and platelet count was normal. The peripheral smear demonstrated abnormal platelet morphology with many agranular and large forms. A platelet aggregation study was abnormal in response to adenosine diphosphate and collagen. Electron microscopy of platelets revealed marked decrease in alpha granules and increase in vacuoles. The patient underwent Kasai operation with mild complication of postoperative bleeding.
