Embryonic reduction is the selective interruption of the development of one or several fetuses in the first trimester of pregnancy. Twin pregnancy occurs in approximately one in every 100 births. It is considered an entity with high maternal and fetal risk. Multiple pregnancies have greater impact on health systems due to the higher frequency of complications. Premature rupture of membranes causes approximately 40 percent of preterm births and, consequently, it contributes 10 percent of perinatal mortality according to the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics. In this clinical case it was observed that an expectant attitude with the relevant ultrasound (index of amniotic fluid), analytical (leukocyte count and polymerase chain reaction) and clinical (heart rate and temperature) controls can lead to good postnatal evolution, justified at least on this occasion, a conservative attitude(AU)

RESUMEN

An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of supplementation of rumen protected methionine (RPM) and rumen protected lysine (RPL) individually and in combination on nutrient utilization and growth performance in twenty Sahiwal female calves. Sahiwal female calves having age groups of 7 to 12 months and between 80 to 111 kg body weights were randomly allotted into four groups of five animals in each, viz., T1 (basal diet), T2 (basal diet with RPM 5 g/d), T3 (basal diet with RPL 15 g/d) and T4 (basal diet with RPM 5 g plus RPL 15 g/d) their body weight for 90 days. The results revealed that intake of DM and CP were similar amongst all four groups. Digestibility of nutrients was also similar amongst the groups while average daily gain was found to be better in supplemented groups

RESUMEN

In order to develop a Patient respiratory management system includinga biofeedback function for4-dimentional radiation therapy, this study investigated anoptimal tracking algorithmfor moving target using IR (Infra-red) camera as well as commercial camera. A tracking system was developed by LabVIEW 2010. Motion phantom images were acquired using a camera (IR or commercial). After image process were conducted to convert acquired image to binary image by applying a threshold values, several edge enhance methods such as Sobel, Prewitt, Differentiation, Sigma, Gradient, Roberts, were applied. The targetpattern was defined in the images, and acquired image from a moving targetwas tracked by matching pre-defined tracking pattern. During the matching of imagee, thecoordinateof tracking point was recorded. In order to assess the performance of tracking algorithm, the value of score which represents theaccuracy of pattern matching was defined. To compare the algorithm objectively, we repeat experiments 3 times for 5 minuts for each algorithm. Average valueand standard deviations (SD) of score were automatically calculatedsaved as ASCII format. Score of threshold only was 706, and standard deviation was 84. The value of average and SD for other algorithms which combined edge detection method and thresholdwere 794, 64 in Sobel, 770, 101 in Differentiation, 754, 85 in Gradient, 763, 75 in Prewitt, 777, 93 in Roberts, and 822, 62 in Sigma, respectively. According to score analysis, the most efficient tracking algorithm is the Sigma method. Therefore, 4-dimentional radiation threapy is expected tobemore efficient if threshold and Sigma edge detection method are used together in target tracking.

RESUMEN

The purpose of this study was to evaluate a rotational stability of endodontic electronic motors by comparing the changes of rotational speed, depending on the number of usages and with/without static load. Twelve new endodontic electronic motors were used in this study. Non contact type digital tachometer was used for measuring the rotational speed of handpiece. True RMS Multimeter was used for measuring the voltages and the electric currents. All measurements were recorded every 10 seconds during 10 minutes and repeated 9 times. Five repetition was done per each electronic motor. To statistical analysis, student t-test, repeated measures and Scheffe's post-hoc tests were performed. In the same motor group, there was no significant difference in all measurements. In all groups, there was no significant difference in the amount of rotational speed changes depending on the number of usages and with/without static load. In the limitation of this study, the results showed that all kinds of endodontic electronic motors in this study had an established rotational stability. Therefore they could be safely used in root canal treatment with a reliable maintenance of rotational speed, regardless of the number of usages and with/without load.

RESUMEN

Objective:To investigate the effect of rapamycin on renal function and ultrastructure changes after renal ischemia-reperfusion in rats. Methods:Acute ischemic renal injury model was established(right kidney ectomized,45 min of left renal ischemia and reperfusion for 24h).Thirty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:sham operation group(control group or group C,without renal ischemia),renal ischemia-reperfusion group(ischemia-reperfusion group or group I,without rapamycin),renal ischemia-reperfusion and(RPM 4mg/(kg?d)?3d,reperfusion at 2h before the last operation) intravenous injection group(rapamycin group or group U).changes of renal function and renal uhrastructure were measured BUN level, serum creatinine values. Results:Serum creatinine(168?37)?mol/L and BUN concentration(22?6)mmol/L in group I were significantly higher than those in group U:serum creatinine(113?17)?mol/L and BUN concentration(13.8?2.3)mmol/L(P
