RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the effect of morphine on the proliferation and migration of human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells in an in vitro experiment. Methods The experiment was performed in 2 parts.Experiment Ⅰ Human HCC cells were inoculated in 6-well plates at a density of 2×105 cells/well (2 ml/well) and divided into 6 groups (n=12 each) using a random number table:control group (C group) and 10,25,50,100 and 200 ng/ml morphine groups (M1-M5 groups).Morphine at the final concentration of 10,25,50,100 and 200 ng/ml was added in M1-M5 groups, respectively. The equal volume of phosphate buffer solution was added in group C.The cells were cultured or incubated for 48 h.The expression of μ1-opioid receptor (MOR1) mRNA was measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction. The expression of MOR1 was detected by Western blot in C and M4 groups.Experiment Ⅱ Human HCC cells were inoculated in 96-well plates (1×103 cells/well) or in Transwell chambers(200 μl) and divided into 2 groups (n=9 each) using a random number table:control group (C group) and morphine group (M group).Morphine was added at the final concentration of 100 ng/ml in group M,and the equal volume of phosphate buffer solution (final volume 100 μl/well) was added in group C.The cells were cultured or incubated for 7 days. The cell proliferation was detected by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay at 1-7 days of incubation or culture. The cell migration was determined by Transwell chamber assay at 30 h of incubation or culture. Results Experiment Ⅰ Compared with group C,the expression of MOR1 mRNA was significantly up-regulated in M1-M5 groups, and the expression of MOR1 was significantly up-regulated in group M4 (P<0.01).Compared with group M4,the expression of MOR1 mRNA was significantly down-regulated in M1-M3 and M5 groups (P<0.01).Experiment Ⅱ Compared with group C,the cell proliferation was significantly enhanced on 4th-7th days of incubation, and the number of cells passing through Transwell chambers was increased in group M (P<0.05 or 0.01).The cell proliferation was gradually enhanced on 4th-7th days of incubation in group M (P<0.05).Conclusion Morphine can promote the proliferation and migration of human HCC cells, and the mechanism is related to up-regulation of MOR1 expression in an in vitro experiment.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the hospital laboratory management mode. Methods We used literature review and comparative analysis to understand the different laboratory management mode, explore suitable operation mechanisms for hospital research and the development of hospital la boratory.Through a variety of measures to improve the efficiency and level of management,we tried to ensure the high efficiency and high quality operation of clinical laboratory, hospital science research, personnel training, discipline construction to provide quality services. Results There were two kinds of hospital laboratory management modes, which were centralized and decentralized management mode. Both management modes had advantages and disadvantages. We thought the centralized-decentralized binding mode was an ideal combination.Based of this mode,we implemented a number of initiatives and achieved significant results. Conclusions From the scale of hospital and its long-term development, centralized decentralized binding mode is a kind of ideal mode.

RESUMEN

A comprehensive review was conducted to evaluate characteristics of the innovative research fund in a military hospital during past five years. We created a special index system according to the features of this innovative research fund:short supporting period, less amount of funding, and strict limit to the pre-study with the combination of common Research Performance Indicators. We use this index system to evaluate all finished projects and scored their performance.Other factors, such as research area, age of researchers, and job title, were also combined to analyze the relationship between funded research performance and fund characteristics. We found that all projects with higher performance score in past 5 years were conducted by young researchers, while this meets our original intention that using this fund to support junior scientists. In addition,we also found that the process of project assessment was fire and scientific, and funding for key research disciplines provided high level research outcomes.

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the ethical management status quo of Capital Medical Research Fund in 2007.Methods Cross-sectional study was applied to analyze the ethics management and ethics self-evaluation in applications. Results There were 652 applications, covering with 14 districts and 2 counties in Beijing, from 128 Hospitals.Applicants have some knowledge of the ethical issues in clinical research accounted for 88.7% ; informed consent of subjects considered in 72.5% ;the potential risk and protection involved in application accounted for 62.0%; personal privacy protection of subject accounted for 49.4%.Unfortunately,the benefit vs risk assessment was only involved in 28.7% applications.Applicants from general hospitals had more ethical issue knowledge (90.2%) than those from community hospitals (84.6%).Applicants from university hospitals had more ethical issue knowledge (93.9%) than those from military hospitals (80.2%).Applicants aged 55 0r over had less ethical issue knowledge (70.0%) than other applicants (89.2%).The applicants to study on descriptive research and etiological research had less ethical issue knowledge than others.578 applications filled out the approval from ethics committee or research management department.62.6% of the written were acceptable. Conclusion The applicants for clinical research had preliminary understanding for ethical issues in Beijing in 2007.Hospital ethics committees or research management departments had conducted clinical research ethical review applications for funds management. It has taken place the external conditions to carry out the ethical management in clinical research fund management.

RESUMEN

Along with the continuous deepening of system reformation of science and technology, the research of science and technology is significantly important. The investment in scientific research is increasingly enlarged by enterprises and national finance. The scientific research ftlnd tends to be increase obviously. Meanwhile. tlle research fund deposition has been showed gradually. which attracts the attentions of the scholars and the government. It is also awkard problem faced by the research manguagers. This paper analyzed the reasons for the occurrence of the research fund deposition in comprehensive hospitals and its disadVOJltages according to the actual condition of hospitals, and proposed some suggestions to prevent the occurfence of the research fund deposition. It could be valuable to further discuss on this issue in future.

RESUMEN

The authors give an account of their guiding ideology, implementing methods and practical experience in setting up research funds for nursing. Their experience is as follows. Establishment of the funds in their hospital has played a positive role in promoting research on nursing. Greater increase in intellectual input and creation of a sound environment for the conduction of research on nursing is an effective guarantee for the successful conduction of the work. Emphasis has been rightly put on clinical projects by orienting the research funds towards projects involving clinical nursing. And making a good job of the whole nursing procedure is the key to the proper application of the research funds for nursing. Besides, to give full play to the role of research funds for nursing, it is imperative to cultivate academic leaders in nursing able to keep abreast of the times, aim closely at the frontier research in the field and bring into effect the starting and catalytic action of research funds for nursing.

RESUMEN

The expression of cancer gene products of insuline-like growth factor Ⅱ (IGF-Ⅱ),IGF-Ⅱ receptors (IGF-Ⅱ-R),and colony-stimulating factor 1 receptors (CSF-1-R) /c-fms in 17 cases of human primary hepatic cancer, the non-cancerous liver tissue adjacent to the cancer, and normal liver tissue was studied with immunocytochemistry (ABC),Western blot and Northern blot techniques. It was found that the expression of IGF-Ⅱ,IGF-Ⅱ-R and CSF-1-R was significantly higher in the cancers than in normal liver tissues, and the expression of IGF-Ⅱ and IGF-Ⅱ-R was higher in the non-cancerous liver tissues than in the cancers. It was noteworthy that the expression of IGF-Ⅱ in both the cancerous and non-cancerous hepatic tissues was characterized by its fetal type. However the expression of CSF-1-R was distinctly higher in the cancers than in the non-cancerous hepatic tissue. These findings, the authors believe, imply that the aberrant overexpression of IGF-Ⅱ,IGF-Ⅱ-R and CSF-l-R might be related to the mechanism of auto-crine-stimulated growtth of the cells of human primary hepatic cancer.
