RESUMEN

Objective:Analyze the basic information and characteristics of SCI papers published by an institution in 2015-2019 based on the Category Normalized Citation Impact (CNCI), to provide a reference basis for SCI paper management policy improvement. Methods:Retrieve SCI papers completed by the first or correspondent unit from 2015 to 2019 from the scientific research management system of the institution. Obtain index data including journal information, impact factors, and CNCI of this group of papers from Web of science and InCites databases, and use SPSS21.0 statistical software to perform descriptive and chi-square tests. Results:The university-affiliated hospital published 3201 SCI papers from 2015-2019, with a growing trend. These papers were most frequently published in the 1<IF<3 zone, accounted for 44.92%, followed by the 3<IF<5 zone, accounted for 32.27%. These papers are mainly in Q2 journals, accounted for 31.52%, while Q1 and Q3 journals each account for 25%. From the perspective of CNCI, the average CNCI of papers in 2015-2017 was less than 1, and the average CNCI of papers in 2018-2019 was greater than 1, with no statistical difference in CNCI values between years. The proportion of high CNCIs was higher for papers with high IF. The average CNCI per page for papers in Q1 and Q2 was greater than 1, and the average CNCI per page for papers in Q3 and Q4 was less than 1. The proportion of high CNCIs was higher for papers in Q1.Conclusions:The evaluation conclusions reached under different research management perspectives are in-consistent. A comprehensive evaluation of papers based on journal divisions and CNCI is more reasonable. In a new era where indicators such as number of papers and impact factor are not the only thing that matters, it is relevant to select the top journals in the discipline and to apply comprehensive evaluation indicators such as CNCI to the evaluation of papers.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore strategies for improving hospital scientific research administration by analyzing SCI papers of one Tertiary Referral Hospital published from 2011 to 2016.Methods We retrospectively analyzed the number, paper type, impact factor, title of the authors, discipline distribution and interdisciplinary cooperation of SCI papers of one Tertiary Hospital from 2011 to 2016.Results The total number of SCI papers published from 2011 to 2016 was increasing, among which clinical department increased remarkably.SCI papers published by basic research department accounted for 56.30%.Among clinical departments, half of top 10 SCI paper publishing disciplines were national key clinical ones, producing 61.57% of total papers of clinical departments. In basic research department, the percentage of SCI papers with over 3 impact factor accounted nearly one half.In clinical department, the impact factor of most papers ranged from 1 to 3.Only 9.16% of SCI papers had an impact factor over 5.Articles composed of 85.69% of total papers and 43.51% of the authors had senior professional title.54.94 % of papers were completed by two disciplines or with another institution and most papers with impact factors over 5 were completed by cooperation with another discipline or institution. Conclusions The quantity of SCI papers increased gradually during the past six years. But there were still some existing problems including only few SCI papers with high impact factor, unbalanced discipline development and academic capability of young and middle aged scientific researchers needed to be improved. In order to promote high-level scientific research achievements, some measures need to be taken from facilitating interdisciplinary cooperation, increasing collaboration with other institutions and training young and middle-aged scientific researchers.

RESUMEN

Objective According to analyse SCI papers published by hospital faculties during the period of 2010-2015,this paper discussed influential factors and strategies for paper publishing from the perspective of hospital scientific research management, proposed suggestions to administrative department and leaderships for decision making. Methods Taking SCI database developed by Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) as data resource.Literature analysis method was used to analyze the SCI papers during 2010 2015 in terms of publishing amount, subject development, periodical distribution, foundation support, citation analysis, etc. Results The amount of the SCI papers increased sharply each year with a wide spread of extensive subjects which reveals the development of the medical research. However, the average Impact Factor of the paper is still struggling behind that of the top medical institutes. Most papers published in the hospital is supported by National Science Foundation of China (NSFC).Conclusions This paper proposed that the hospital needs to establish a series of policies to strengthen the project management and talent training in the long run, encourage publishing high quality papers to promote the development of disciplines, increasing the investment for constructing research platforms and also making good use of administration for better research.

RESUMEN

Academic Papers published with hospital-based data between 2004~2013 on top 5% impact factor journals in all JCR 184 subject categories were reviewed in the study. All of them were differentiated to 3 groups according to the ways of collaboration between authors. The distribution of these papers institutions and subjects were studied and questionnaire survey to hospitals was also used. It's found that the multidisciplinary collaborating work is a key factor to publish high impact papers which showed the central tendency in subjects and institutions levels, active management measures on interdisciplinary development will contribute the outcome of high impact papers.
