Objective:To explore the mediating role of aging attitude and anxiety in the relationship between self-worth and depression among the elderly. Methods:From July to August 2022, a total of 536 elderly people in Shijiazhuang University for the Elderly were surveyed by the elderly self-worth scale, generalized anxiety disorder-7(GAD-7), attitudes to aging questionnaire(AAQ) and patient health questionnaire(PHQ-9). SPSS 26.0 software was used for descriptive statistics and correlation analysis.AMOS 24.0 was used to construct an intermediation model, and Bootstrap method was used for mediating effect testing.Results:(1)The score of self-worth was 101.00 (92.00, 112.00), the score of aging attitude was 92.00 (83.00, 101.75), the score of anxiety was 2.00(0, 6.00), and the score of depression was 2.00 (0, 5.00). (2)Self-worth was positively correlated with aging attitude ( r=0.67, P<0.01), while negatively correlated with anxiety ( r=-0.45, P<0.01) and depression ( r=-0.48, P<0.01). The aging attitude was negatively correlated with anxiety ( r=-0.41, P<0.01) and depression ( r=-0.41, P<0.01). Anxiety was positively correlated with depression ( r=0.71, P<0.01). (3)The indirect effect of aging attitude between self-worth and depression in the elderly was -0.016, accounting for 19.75% (-0.016/-0.081)of the total indirect effect. The indirect effect of anxiety between self-worth and depression in the elderly was -0.045, accounting for 55.56%(-0.045/-0.081) of the total indirect effect. The chain mediating effect of aging attitude and anxiety between self-worth and depression in the elderly was -0.020, accounting for 24.69%(-0.020/-0.081) of the total indirect effect. Conclusion:Aging attitude and anxiety play a chain mediating role between self-worth and depression in the elderly.
RESUMEN
【Objective:】 To explore the effect of metacognition on self-directed learning ability of undergraduate nursing students, and the role of interpersonal communication ability and sense of self-worth between them. 【Methods:】 A total of 905 undergraduate nursing students from six colleges and universities in Shaanxi were selected as the survey subjects by convenient sampling method during August to November 2022. Metacognitive Assessment Inventory, Self-Directed Learning Ability Measurement Scale for Nursing Students, Adolescent Sense of Total Self-Worth Scale, and Supportive Communication Scale were used to conduct a questionnaire survey on undergraduate nursing students. SPSS 25.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data. 【Results:】 Finally, 854 valid questionnaires (94.36%) were collected, and the results showed that: a) Metacognition of undergraduate nursing students significantly positively predicted self-directed learning ability (β=0.172, P<0.001). b) Interpersonal communication ability played a partial mediating role between metacognition and self-directed learning ability [β=0.019, 95%CI: 0.004~0.034)] . c) The predictive effect of metacognition on self-directed learning ability was regulated by the level of self-worth (R2=0.314, P<0.001). 【Conclusion:】 This paper indicated that the metacognition of undergraduate nursing students indirectly affects their self-learning ability through interpersonal communication ability, and their sense of self-worth plays a moderating role. It is recommended to improve the metacognitive level of undergraduate nursing students, strengthen their interpersonal communication skills, and focus on the cultivation of self-worth, so as to improve their self-directed learning ability.

This study investigated (a) how specific aspects of psychosocial functioning (behavioral problems and global self-worth) are associated with academic achievement in spelling, arithmetic and reading; and (b) what is the effect of type of school (private vs. public) on this association. The sample for this study consisted of 901 regular school children attending 6th grade of primary education, living in the urban zones of Metropolitan Lima, Peru. Our research hypotheses were partially corroborated. The results showed a strong relationship between academic achievement and psychosocial functioning, with an important role of gender and school failure at the student level. Nevertheless, we could not confirm our multilevel assumption. There is no evidence that this relationship differs among schools. Practical implications are discussed.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the perception of the body image and self-worth in active women. Methods: Participated in this study 47 women ( x 60,87 years old), who practice physical exercises regularly. The body image perception was identified through the protocol of Stunkard et al. (1983) and the self-worth evaluated through the Janis-Field scale of sentiment inadequacy adapted by Matsudo (2004). Results: The prevalence of body image dissatisfaction was of 78,7 per cent, being the excess of weight 2,11 times bigger in women with overweight/obesity. The self-worth was classified as high to 70,2 per cent of the individual, verifying the tendency of perception of smaller waists and high and medium socioeconomic levels present better selfworth (p<0,05). Conclusion: in this study, women who do regular physical activity had a high prevalence of self-esteem, even showing up dissatisfied with their body image, mainly by excess body weight. We identified differences in satisfaction with body image regarding the upper and middle economic classes. Women with lower real perception of silhouettes and with higher socioeconomic status showed up better satisfied in relation to their self-esteem.
