RESUMEN

Abstract Introduction Previous data suggest that healthcare students, such as nursing students, might have a differential risk of presenting burnout syndrome caused by the stress they are subjected to. However, the evidence is still scarce and inconclusive. Objective To evaluate the association between nursing training and burnout syndrome among undergraduate students in Hidalgo, Mexico. Method A cross-sectional analytical study was conducted on 566 undergraduate students (56% were nursing students and the rest were non-healthcare students). Burnout syndrome was identified using the Spanish version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey, consisting of subscales: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and diminished academic efficacy. The association between the variables of interest was evaluated using logistic regression models adjusted for confounders. Results In the depersonalization subscale, nursing students, compared with non-healthcare students, had an adjusted Odds Ratio (aOR) of moderate/high burnout syndrome of 2.08 (95% confidence interval [CI] = [1.34, 3.22]). In addition, the association was stronger among students in the third and fourth school years (aOR = 3.58; 95% CI = [1.62, 7.89]) compared with those in the first and second school years (aOR = 1.20; 95% CI = [.71, 2.03]). Discussion and conclusion It is necessary that universities provide nursing students with tools that allow them to cope with stressful situations during their academic training and their future life as health professionals.

ABSTRACT Introduction: Proper physical exercise can improve the body's breathing and blood circulation, improve immune function, and help relaxation. As a result, negative emotions are effectively guided. Objective: To explore the impact of exercise on subhealth states. Method: This paper analyzes the exercise ability of college students with chronic fatigue syndrome, records the relevant data, and compares them with healthy students. In the comparative analysis, we found that there were significant differences in physiological indexes and satisfaction scores between the experimental group and the control group. Results: Through the analysis of the significant difference data, it can be concluded that the muscle endurance and cardiopulmonary function of college students with chronic fatigue syndrome are significantly lower than the normal value. Conclusion: Proper and regular exercise can treat chronic fatigue syndrome. We found that exercise therapy can achieve ideal results in our long-term tracking of subjects' data. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation of treatment results.

RESUMO Introdução: Atividade física adequada pode aprimorar a respiração e a circulação sanguínea do corpo, melhorar a função imune e ajudar no relaxamento.

To know the current status of family health and negative psychology of primary and secondary school students, and to explore the correlation between them during the prevention and control of COVID-19. From January 15 to 30, in 2022, a total of 19 343 urban and rural primary and secondary school students in X city were selected. The short form of the family health scale, center for epidemiologica survey-depression scale and student burnout inventory for junior middle school students were used to conduct a cross-sectional survey. The Pearson correlation was used to analyze the relationship between the family health and negative psychology. The family health of primary and secondary school students is at the medium level or above, and more than half of students may/must be depressed. There are significant differences in study burnout in different learning stages and epidemic management in different places of residence. It is recommended that family members and schools staff should give more psychological and social support to primary and secondary school students to reduce the negative impact of COVID-19 on them.

RESUMEN

Objective To examine the impact of academic pressure,self-esteem,and their interactive effect on student burnout. Methods A total of 1 497 middle school students were investigated with three questionnaires. Results The scores of academic pressure,self-esteem,exhaustion,cynicism,efficacy were 9.95 ± 4.52,21.90±5.04,11.84±4.05,10.84±4.88,20.60±5.47 respectively. Results indicated that the main effects of academic pressure and self-esteem on student bumout were significant.Specifically, academic pressure affected exhaustion (β =0.467,P<0.01) and efficacy (β=0.134,P<0.05) ; self-esteem affected cynicism (β=0.588,P<0.01) and efficacy (β=0.549,P<0.01).Self-esteem moderated the impact of academic pressure on student burnout(β=-0.216,P<0.01).The impact of academic pressure on student burnout became lower when their self-esteem grows.Self-esteem moderated the impacts of academic pressure on exhaustion and efficacy, but the moderate effect of selfesteem on the influence of academic pressure on efficacy was very small and could be neglected. Conclusion Academic pressure,self-esteem affect student burnout, and self-esteem moderate the influence of academic pressure on student burnout negatively.
