Objective To explore the mental health status and characteristics of professional degree postgraduates.Methods 326 professional degree postgraduates from 3 universities were selected as subjects by cluster sampling.Symptom checklist 90 (SCL-90) was applied to assess psychological health of the postgraduates in order.Results 1) The positive rate of psychological symptom screening was 11.11%.The detection rate of psychological problems from high to low was:obsessive-compulsion,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,hostility,somatization,paranoid ideation,anxiety,phobic anxiety and psychoticism.2) Excluding the factors of phobic anxiety,there was significant age difference in each factor score and total score of SCL-90 (P<0.05).The somatization,interpersonal sensitivity,anxiety,hostility,paranoid ideation,psychoticism factor scores and total score of the "≥30 years" group was significantly higher than those of "≤24 years"and the "25-29 years" group (P<0.05),the depression factor scores of "≥ 30 years" was significantly higher than the "≤24 years" group (P<0.01).3) The scores of somatizations (P=0.038) and obsessive-compulsive factors (P=0.043) of doctoral students were significantly higher than those of master students.4) In different grades,there were significant differences in the scores of obsessive-compulsives,depression,anxiety,hostility,paranoid ideation factor scores and SCL-90 total score (P<0.05).The factor scores and total score of the Grade Three were significantly higher than those of the first grade (P<0.05),and the scores of hostilities,paranoid ideation factors and total score were significantly higher than those of the second grade (P<0.05).5) Excluding phobic anxiety,the factor scores and total score of SCL-90 in the "peace and tranquility" group were significantly lower than those of "quarrel" group (P<0.05).6) Except for somatization and paranoia ideation,the factor scores and total score of SCL-90 of caring group were significantly lower than those non-caring group (P<0.05).Conclusion The psychological health of graduate students of professional degree varies with age,educational level and grade,and is influenced by collective atmosphere and mentor attitude.The differences in the characteristics of the crowd should be taken into full consideration in the mental health education of colleges and universities,and the educational model should be explored,the educational goals,contents and forms should be refined to improve the mental health level of the population.

And statistical software was applied to analyze results of symptom checklist 90.@*Results@#There were differences in the score of SCL-90 between doctor and nurse groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) . Negative life events (OR=2.940) , relative suffer from mental illness (OR=3.683) , shift work (OR=1.611) and heavy workload (OR=2.265) were found to risk factors for the positive of SCL-90.@*Conclusion@#There were differences in the score of SCL-90 between doctor and nurse groups. Negative life events, relative suffer from mental illness, shift workand heavy workload are risk factors for SCL-90 positive of female doctors and nurses.

Objective@#To evaluate the mental health of occupational females in different industries.@*Methods@#We investigated the psychologic status of Chinese occupational females using symptom checklist 90. And statistical software was applied to analyze results of symptom checklist 90.@*Results@#There were 41, 166 effec-tive questionnaires. The number of positive questionnaires was 14 361, and the positive rate was 34.89%. The positive rate of obsessive-compulsive factor was 24.07%. The positive rate of somatization factor was 16.12%. The positive rate of depression was 15.50%. The median positive item number was 20 (IQR: 34) , and the median split of positive symptoms was 2.11 (IQR: 0.37) . There were differences in the positive rate of SCL-90 scale among different age groups, different regions and different industries, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) . The positive rate of SCL-90 for the occupational females was 34.89%. The top three factors of the high-est positive SCL-90 were obsessive-compulsive symptoms, somatization and depression.@*Conclusion@#There were differences in the psychological status of occupational females for different regions, different ages and different occupations.

Objective:To explore the influence of psychological factors on temporomandibular disorders(TMD) in school students.Methods:52 school students aged 14-26 years with TMD classified as muscular dysfunction (MD,n =26),temporomandibular displacement(TD,n =14) and MD with TD(MD +TD,n =12),and 53 healthy adolescents as the controls were investigated.All the participants accepted TMD examination and their psychological status were tested by symptom checklist-90 (SCL-90).The patients were divided into acute(case history ≤6 months,n =32) and chronic(case history >6 months,n =20) groups.The psychological differences among the related groups were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 statistical software package.Results:The total and the factor scores of the TMD group were higher than those of control(P < 0.05).There was no significant statistically difference between the MD group and the TD group(P > 0.05).MD + TD group got higher SCL-90 total score and factor scores (except depression,phobic anxiety and Psychoticism score) than the other 2 groups (P < 0.05).The acute and chronic group got similar SCL-90 total scores and factor scores (P > 0.05),except somatization score (P < 0.05).There was a positive correlation between the TMD pain level and total score of SCL-90.Conclusion:The psychological status have remarkable influence on the students with TMD.The pain degree of TMD is affected by psychological factors.Therefore,psychological therapy should be applied during the diagnosis and treatment of students with TMD.

@#ObjectiveTo investigate the mental health level of entrants.MethodsThe status of mental health of entrants in 05 class of Ningbo University was investigated with the Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90). The 8405 available samples were analyzed.ResultsThe prevalence of psychological symptoms of this group was 9.42%, while the levels of obsessive-compulsive, phobia and psychopathic deviate were significantly higher than that of the Chinese module. To the average level of mental health, female was inferior to male, non-single child in family was inferior to single child, students from towns and countries were inferior to those from cities; students with medical history or psychosis history in family had higher levels of symptomatology; students satisfied with their majority and received satisfied entrance education were superior to the ones who were not satisfied.ConclusionThe education of mental health for the entrants should be enhanced to raise their mental health level.

@#Objective To investigate the psychologic characteristics of the hypertensive with transient ischemic attack(TIA). Methods 56 hypertensive patients with TIA were surveyed with Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS). Results and Conclusion The score in interpersonal sensitivity and paranoid factors of SCL-90 were below the norm obviously(P<0.05), the score of other factors were higher than the norm(P<0.01). Somatization, obsessive-compulsive, anxiety correlated negatively with E scale, while hostility, phobia anxiety, anxiety correlated positively with N scale. 71.4% patients appeared depression while 78.6% patients appeared anxiety in differently degree. Depression and anxiety correlated positively with the times of TIA, especially the anxiety.

@#ObjectiveTo investigate the Character of Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) in detoxification addicts in reeducation center.Methods100 detoxification addicts in reeducation center were evaluated.ResultsThe results showed that the mean scores of all factors in detoxification addicts were higher than those of normal population, and there was difference between different drug dependence addicts.ConclusionThe detoxification addicts shows serious psychological disorders.

@#ObjectiveTo investigate the mental health of freshmen of university.MethodsSymptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) was used to self evaluate 7763 freshmen of university in Ningbo.Results and ConclusionThe overall level of the mental health of this group was higher than that of the Chinese module, and the prevalence of psychological symptoms was 13.2%. The average level of mental health of female were inferior to male. The difference between the students from cities or towns and from the countryside were distinct. Students who were satisfied with their majority get noticeably higher average score than the ones who were not satisfied.

@#ObjectiveTo explore the effect of synthesized rehabilitation on detoxification addicts.Methods100 detoxification addicts were randomly divided into the rehabilitation group and control group with 50 cases in each group. Cases of the rehabilitation group were treated with "ten-step" rehabilitation treatment, but that of the control group did not. The rehabilitating treatment included cognitive psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, family treatment, social skill training and etc. The effects of two groups were evaluate with Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90) scale.ResultsExcept hostility, other factorial scores of the rehabilitation group including positive items, somatization, obsession, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, phobia, paranoid and psychotic factors were significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05~0.01).ConclusionThe synthesized rehabilitation can obviously improve the psychology of detoxification addicts.

@#ObjectiveTo investigate the psychological state and distribution of emotional symptoms of women during peri-menopause.Methods56 women with some emotional disorder (sick group) and 37 women without emotional symptom (control group) peri-menopause were measured with Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90).ResultsThe scores of total, quantity of positive items,average of positive,somatic factor,compulsion,depression and anxiety,phobia in sick group were more than that of control group significantly.ConclusionWomen during peri-menopause present serious emotional disorder mainly in somatization, compulsion,depression, anxiety and phobia.

@#ObjectiveTo study the psychological state of the parents of children with cerebral palsy(CP).Methods66 parents of CP children were assessed by Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90)-test,45 normal persons were also assessed by the same way as the control.ResultsExcept psychosis nature,the SCL-90 score of the parents of children with cerebral palsy were higher than that in control (P<0.01-0.05).ConclusionsThe parents of children with cerebral palsy have severe mental problems.

Objective: To study mental health status in patients with hepatitis and cirrhosis. Methods: Symptom checklist 90 (SCL-90) were assessed to 123 patients with acute and chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis. Results: The factor scores of SCL-90 in those patients were significantly higher than those in Chinese norms (P﹤0.01), especially for somatization, depression, anxiety and hostility factors in patients with chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis. The factor scores existed elevatory tendency according to the severity of disease among the three groups, but the significant difference was only founded in psychotic factor. Multiple factor analysis showed that the type of liver diseases, age and marriage influenced the factor scores. Conclusion: Mental health problems exist in varying degrees in most patients with hepatitis and cirrhosis, and the type of liver diseases, age and marriage play an importance role in the factor scores of SCL-90.
