RESUMEN
An English spoken mini-corpus for traditional Chinese medicine can be established and used on the basis of data-driving teaching model with teaching procedures of students observation, analysis deduction and oral output to improve students' spoken English. A total of 60 graduate students from international exchange classin pharmacology of Jiangxi University of traditional Chinese Medicine were divided into the control class and the experimental class randomly with 30 students in each class. The control class were taught by traditional teaching methods while the experimental class were taught by teaching method based on corpus data. The study shows there exists significance difference (P<0.05) between the experimental class and the control class and then indicates that the TCM teaching methods based on the corpus plays a positive role on the TCM English.

Textbook construction is an important part of building TCM English teaching system and its key research point is summarizing and exploring the basic principles and laws for guiding the compilation practice. This article tried to apply the theory of English for Specific Purpose and combine the compilation practice of English for TCM to explore the particular principles for compiling TCM English textbook.

Bilingual parallel corpus is a new perspective of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) translation studies. This article set 10 kinds of Gansu genuine bulk Chinese materia medica as the research objects, and collected Chinese-English data about Gansu Chinese materia medica in the authoritative publications for the establishment of English-Chinese parallel corpus on Gansu Chinese materia medica. This article also analyzed the construction concrete steps in detail - corpus design, data acquisition and processing and bilingual corpus parallel and so on, and provided references for English translation of Chinese materia medica.
