OBJECTIVE In order to analyze the current situation of policy tool allocation in China’s TCM formula granule industry， and provide a theoretical basis for the high-quality development of the industry. METHODS Based on the perspective of policy tools，“ TCM formula granules” was used as the keyword to retrieve the official websites of departments directly under the State Council such as the National Medical Products Administration and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine， as well as provincial governments. The relevant clauses in the policy documents related to TCM formula granules in China from 1993 to 2022 were encoded， and then the application of policy tools was summarized and classified. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS A total of 12 national documents and 77 provincial documents were ultimately selected， involving 556 relevant policy clauses. It was found that among the relevant policy tools， environmental policy tools had the highest degree of attention， accounting for 62.6%； the proportions of demand-oriented policy tools and supply-oriented policy tools were less， accounting for 17.8% and 19.6%， respectively. From the perspective of policy tools， the use of demand-oriented policy tools in current policy texts was relatively simple， and various policy tools were given low attention； from the perspective of policy objectives， the proportion of use of environmental， demand-oriented and supply-oriented policy tools were not balanced enough. It is suggested to increase the proportion of demand- oriented policy tools to meet international competition； emphasize the use of supply-oriented policy tools to strictly control product quality； consolidate the use of environmental policy tools to standardize quality standards. On this basis， we will coordinate the overall situation， balance the use of various policy tools and promote the development of TCM formula granule industry.

The global morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular diseases remain high. Atherosclerosis is an important pathological basis of cardiovascular diseases, and its pathogenic mechanism has not been fully clarified. It was reported that pathogenic mechanism of atherosclerosis is related to vascular endothelial cell injury, lipid metabolism disorder, inflammatory reaction, imbalance between autophagy and apoptosis, et al. Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) formula has shown good effects in the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis. There are a lot of studies that showed the anti-atherosclerosis effect and the mechanism of TCM formula. In this paper, we reviewed the mechanism of anti-atherosclerosis action of TCM formula by summarizing the research literatures in the past five years, and provide reference for the further systematic study of anti-atherosclerosis effect of TCM formula.

Shengmai Injection (SMI), is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula injection composed of Panax ginseng, Ophiopogon japonicas and Schisandra chinensis, which is widely used in clinic for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases as well as protecting against pulmonary disease and add-on therapy to cancer chemotherapy. In recent years, the pre-clinical basic research of SMI was widely performed. The studies, including chemical composition, in vivo process, and action mechanism and so on of SMI, helped to provide scientific foundation for revealing the material basis of formula. In this paper, the studies on material composition, pre-clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of this formula were summarized, so as to provide reference for the quality control, second development and rational clinical application of SMI.

OBJECTIVE:To improve dispensing quality of small package of TCM formula granule, reduce the rate of dispensing error and shorten dispensing time. METHODS:Key influential factors for small package of TCM formula granule dispensing in our hospital were found out from 5 respects of"man,machine,environment,method,material";two cycles of PDCA cycle management intervention were conducted. Dispensing internal error and dispensing time were compared before PDCA cycle management intervention (Jul.-Dec. 2015,group A),first cycle of PDCA cycle management intervention (Jan.-Jun. 2016, group B) and second cycle of PDCA cycle management intervention (Jul.-Dec. 2016,group C),the effects of management were evaluated. RESULTS:By improving dispensing environment,establishing dispensing standard operation procedure,formulating reward and punishment system,staff training,after 2 cycles of PDCA cycle management intervention,the rate of small package of TCM formula granule dispensing error in TCM pharmacy of our hospital decreased from 4.19％(170/4061) before intervention that of group A to 1.69％(85/5043) and 0.98％(53/5408) in group B and C after intervention (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Average dispensing time of each prescription with 7 doses were shortened from(9.08±2.56)min before intervention(group A)to(7.37± 1.98),(5.97±1.64)min in group B and C after intervention(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:PDCA cycle management intervention in our hospital can reduce the rate of small package of TCM formula granule dispensing error and shorten dispensing time.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for exploring the strategy of promoting TCM formula granules.METHODS:The questionnaire was designed to investigate the cognition and attitude of TCM practitioners from different grades to TCM formula granules in our university,and the investigation data were analyzed statistically.RESULTS:A total of 312 questionnaires were collected and 306 questionnaires were collected with recovery rate of 98.08％.Among them,305 questionnaires were effective with effective rate of 99.67％.46.89％ of interviewed practitioners were found to know and understand about TCM formula granule,52.46％ knew but did not understand;the higher the grade,the higher the proportion of the known and the better understanding (P＜0.05);the cognitive channels included diagnosis and treatment course (69.64％),took by others (65.02％),took by oneself (51.49％).TCM formula granules were easy to take without decoction (95.71％) and easy to carry (87.13％),the advantage of which had high popularity,but there was not much knowledge about other advantages.7.54％ of interviewed practitioners fully appreciated TCM formula granules and 69.18％ recognized them;the higher the grade,the higher the degree of recognition (P＜ 0.05).89.51％ were willing to learn more about TCM formula granules.60.98％ said they would prescribed TCM formula granules in the furure.Among the influential factors for the attitude of the practitioners to TCM formula granules,the three factors with the highest influence were the influence of the teachers,the influence of the patients and their own practice.CONCLUSIONS:The practice of TCM practitioners in our university in Beijing is not ideal for the cognition of TCM formula granules.There is still a great room for improvement in the attitude to TCM formula granules.The teachers and patients are key influential factors for the attitude to TCM formula granules.

For many years, TCM formula granules, as a new form of decoction pieces reform, have been favored by people with its three features—Three Efficacy, Three Small and Five Conveniences. As a result, it has become the ideal product in the course of TCM internationalization. In the face of growing sales, to formulate its standard becomes imminent. Therefore, how to establish a system that is unique to standardization of TCM formula granules has become a research hotspot of scholars. This article summarized Results of recent research on the preparation, quality control, pharmacology studies and clinical evaluation of TCM formula granules, with a purpose to put forward relevant suggestions, and provide references for standardization of TCM formula granules.

Objective To observe the effects of cultivation mode of autonomous learning ability in TCM formula on students’ learning capacity and comprehensive quality. Methods On the basis of inheriting the traditional teaching mode, classroom questioning, class discussion, problem-based learned teaching, simulated prescription exercises, autonomous teaching and training, the mid-term oral test, and autonomous proposition consisted of autonomous learning ability training mode diversification. In the teaching process, teachers' teaching was the primary, and was interspersed with cultivation mode of autonomous learning ability. At the end of the teaching activities, questionnaire survey method was adopted to evaluate the autonomous learning ability training mode in the teaching of TCM formula. Results 81.30%-97.74% students believed that this mode is helpful to improve their learning ability and comprehensive quality; 75.87%-98.49% students believed that it is necessary to carry out the mode in the teaching activities; 69.53% students believed that conducting mid-term examination in the form of oral teat is feasible. Conclusion The cultivation mode of autonomous learning ability for TCM formula can stimulate the learning enthusiasm of the students from various angles, raise interest in learning, arouse students’ learning enthusiasm and initiative, and further cultivate autonomous learning ability and clinical thinking ability, which can provide references for the teaching reform of TCM formula.
