RESUMEN

ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between five-state personality and Cattell's 16 personality factors. MethodsA total of 913 students recruited from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from November 2020 to January 2021 were assessed by using the Five-state Personality Test Form and the 16 Personality Factors Questionnaire (16PF). The five-state personality scores were compared with national norms and gender differences were examined. Additionally, a structural equation model was established and the model fit was assessed using comparative fit index (CFI), Tucker-Lewis index (TLI), and root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA). The five-state personality (Taiyang, Shaoyang, Yin-yang balance, Shaoyin and Taiyin) was used as individual outcome variables while the 16PF factors was employed as predictor variables. Based on standardized parameter estimation results, we explored the relationships between the five-state personality and 16PF. ResultsA total of 913 students were recruited, and 756 valid samples were obtained after excluding unqualified questionnaires. Among these, the scores of Taiyang, Shaoyang and Taiyin in the 756 school students were significantly lower than the national norms, while the scores of Yin-yang balance was significantly higher (P<0.05 or P<0.01). The scores of Taiyang, Shaoyang, Yin-yang balance and Shaoyin were significantly higher than in males compared to females (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Regarding the relationship between the dimensions of five-state personality and 16PF, the model demonstrated a good fit with CFI and TLI values of 0.993 and 0.980, respectively, and an RMSEA value of 0.027. The 16PF factors, including dominance, social boldness, vigilance, rule-consciousness, tension, and emotional stability, positively predicted the Taiyang personality traits, while privateness and apprehension negatively predicted the Taiyang personality traits (P<0.05 or P<0.01). For Shaoyang personality traits, factors such as liveliness, social boldness, dominance, and tension positively predicted them, while rule-consciousness, apprehension, and privateness negatively predicted Shaoyang perso-nality traits (P<0.05 or P<0.01). In the case of Yin-yang balance personality traits, perfectionism, rule-consciousness, emotional stability, and self-reliance positively predicted them, while apprehension negatively predicted Yin-yang balance personality traits (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Regarding Shaoyin personality traits, perfectionism, emotional stability, self-reliance, rule-consciousness, and vigilance positively predicted them, while dominance, social boldness, and liveliness negatively predicted Shaoyin personality traits (P<0.01). Apprehension, tension, vigilance, and self-reliance positively predicted Taiyin personality traits, while social boldness, rule-consciousness, and intelligence negatively predicted Taiyin personality traits (P<0.05 or P<0.01). ConclusionThere is a significant correlation between five-state personality test and 16PF with 16PF factors capable of predicting five-state personality factors. The five-state personality demonstrates scientific validity and effectiveness.

RESUMEN

Objective:To discuss the clinical efficacy of Qingfei Xiegantang on chronic inflammation and endothelial function of people of Taiyin constitution with metabolic syndrome (MS). Method:Patients (162 cases) were divided into control group (80 cases) and observation group (82 cases). Both groups got lifestyle intervention and treatment with lipid regulation, blood pressure reduction and hypoglycemia according to MS. Patients in observation group got Qingfei Xiegantang, 1 dose/day. Patients in control group got placebo granules of Qingfei Xiegantang. The treatment lasted for 4 months. Before and after treatment, weight, height, waist (WC), hip, body mass index (BMI) and waist hip ratio (WHR) were calculated. Levels of triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), fasting blood glucose (FBG), 2-hour postprandial blood glucose (2 hPG), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and fasting insulin (FINS) were measured. Insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR), insulin sensitivity index (ISI) and islet beta cell function index (HOMA-β), systolic blood pressure (SBD), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), leptin (LP), adiponectin (ADP), nitric oxide (NO), endothelin-1 (ET-1), endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) were detected and recorded. Then the safety was evaluated. Result:Levels of body mass, BMI, WHR, TG, TC, LDL-C, FBG, 2 hPG, HbA1c, HOMA-IR, SBD, DBP, TNF-α, IL-6, LP, ET-1 and iNOS were all lower than those in control group. Levels of HDL-C, InISI, HOMA-β, ADP, NO and eNOS were higher than those in control group (P<0.01). And score of syndrome differentiation of Taiyin people was lower than that in control group (P<0.01). The compliance rate of BMI in observation group was 70.27% (52/74), which was higher than 53.42% (39/73) in control group (χ2=4.421, P<0.05). The compliance rate of blood pressure was 95.95% (71/74), was higher than 84.93% (62/73) in control group (χ2=5.171, P<0.05). The compliance rate of blood fat was 87.84% (65/74), which was higher than 72.60% (53/73) (χ2=5.386, P<0.05). Conclusion:Qingfei Xiegantang can regulate the obesity, blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipid components of MS, relieve clinical symptoms, improve IR, insulin sensitivity and islet β cell function, reduce inflammatory reaction, and increase vascular endothelial function of people of taiyin constitution with metabolic Syndrome.

RESUMEN

Abdominal fullness in Taiyin disease, marked by being aggravated after vomiting,is mainly caused by internal exuberance of cold dampness, which indicates that the pathogenic cold dampness is accumulated in not only the interior of intestines, but also the exterior of intestine in the abdominal cavity.According to the description about hardness beneath chest in outline syndrome of Taiyin disease,Taiyin disease may be considered as such diseases as cirrhosis, congestive splenomegaly due to portal hypertension.Sini decoction should be used to treat abdominal fullness in taiyin disease with the function of warming and eliminating cold dampness, which shows the decoction has the function of recovery of cirrhosis of the liver decompensation.

RESUMEN

The academic development of traditional Chinese medicine is of ancient origin and long development and a hundred schools of thought contend. But we still have some ambiguous academic issues. Many articles have discussed the circulating rules of twelve meridians, but rare articles have discussed in detail the issue of qi-blood circulation beginning from lung channel of hand taiyin. In this paper it has expounded the issue at this point through the four directions.
