RESUMEN

This study aimed to assess the measurement uncertainty of a new method for determination of allura redin food by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).The uncertainty of mathematical model of allura red is based on Europe for Analytical Chemistry(EURACHEM) guidelines. The sources and components of uncertainty were calculated, including recovery, working solution, sample mass, final volume, response of standard solution, response of sample solution. The expanded uncertainty was 0.0024 (k=2).Uncertainty of working solution was the most significant factor contributing to the total uncertainty, accounting for 86.2%.The uncertainty of volume accounted for the minimum at 0.025%.The developed method is simple and accurate, which can be used for the determination of allura redin puffed samples.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the application of defibrillation energy measurement and result uncertainty assessment to defibrillator quality control. Methods The released energy of the defibrillator was measured in standardized technology and environmental conditions, and uncertainty assessment was carried out according to the criteria JJF 1059-2012 Assessment and expression of measurement uncertainty, and then the quality of the defibrillator was executed based on uncertainty. Results Uncertainty assessment contributed to the evaluation of the defibrillator quality, and provided guidance to medical engineering departments in the defibrillator quality control. Conclusion Uncertainty assessment of the defibrillation energy measurement facilitates the quality control, and thus can be promoted in the quality control of other likely medical devices such as respirator, infusion pump and electrosphygmomanometer.

RESUMEN

Objective:To evaluate the measurement uncertainty in the determination of paracetamol tablets by UV. Methods:The mathematical model of content determination by UV was established and the uncertainty sources were analyzed. Each active component of uncertainty was calculated, and the expanded uncertainty was obtained. Results:The expanded uncertainty for the UV determination of paracetamol tablets was 1. 2%,and the content determination result was (97. 0 ± 1. 2) % (k=2). Conclusion:The main sources of uncertainty are analyzed, which can provide reliable theoretical basis for the effective control of the method.

RESUMEN

This study aimed to conduct measurement uncertainty assessment of a new method for determination of Sudan colorants (Sudan I, II, III and IV) in food by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Samples were extracted with organic solvents (hexane, 20% acetone) and first purified by magnesium trisilicate (2MgO·3SiO2). The Sudan colorants (Sudan I-IV) were also initially separated on C8 by gradient elution using acetonitrile and 0.1% (v/v) formic acid aqueous solution as the mobile phases and detected with diode-array detector (DAD). The uncertainty of mathematical model of Sudan I, II, III and IV is based on EURACHEM guidelines. The sources and components of uncertainty were calculated. The experiment gave a good linear relationship over the concentration from 0.4 to 4.0 μg/mL and spiked recoveries were from 74.0% to 97.5%. The limits of determination (LOD) were 48, 61, 36, 58 μg/kg for the four analytes, respectively. The total uncertainty of Sudan colorants (Sudan I, II, III and IV) was 810±30.8, 790±28.4, 750±27.0, 730±50.0 μg/kg, respectively. The recovery uncertainty was the most significant factor contributing to the total uncertainty. The developed method is simple, rapid, and highly sensitive. It can be used for the determination of trace Sudan dyes in food samples. The sources of uncertainty have been identified and uncertainty components have been simplified and considered.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES: In South Korea, health insurance data are used as material for the health insurance of national whole subject. In general, health insurance data could be useful for estimating prevalence or incidence rate that is representative of the actual value in a population. The purpose of this study was to apply the concept of episode of care (EoC) in the utilization of health insurance data in the field of environmental epidemiology and to propose an improved methodology through an uncertainty assessment of disease course and outcome. METHODS: In this study, we introduced the concept of EoC as a methodology to utilize health insurance data in the field of environmental epidemiology. The characterization analysis of the course and outcome of applying the EoC concept to health insurance data was performed through an uncertainty assessment. RESULTS: The EoC concept in this study was applied to heat stroke (International Classification of Disease, 10th revision, code T67). In the comparison of results between before and after applying the EoC concept, we observed a reduction in the deviation of daily claims after applying the EoC concept. After that, we categorized context, model, and input uncertainty and characterized these uncertainties in three dimensions by using uncertainty typology. CONCLUSIONS: This study is the first to show the process of constructing episode data for environmental epidemiological studies by using health insurance data. Our results will help in obtaining representative results for the processing of health insurance data in environmental epidemiological research. Furthermore, these results could be used in the processing of health insurance data in the future.
