RESUMEN
La idea de establecer y cultivar normas y principios reguladores del comportamiento individual y social de los médicos, condicionó el acercamiento temprano de la enseñanza de los contenidos médicos a los contenidos ético-morales. En Cuba la atención y la educación médicas tienen una larga tradición en la formación ética y humanista de los profesionales de la medicina, aunque con algunas insatisfacciones actuales. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar algunas reflexiones relacionadas con la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de los valores ético-morales a partir de las experiencias acumuladas en la universidad médica cubana. Se hizo una revisión bibliográfica y documental en el ámbito nacional y regional. Se resalta la importancia del ejemplo del profesor, el perfeccionamiento microcurricular, la evaluación formativa y certificativa relacionada con la formación ético moral de los estudiantes de medicina, el trabajo educativo curricular y el trabajo metodológico de los colectivos docentes
The idea of setting and practicing governing standards and principles for the individual and social behaviors of the physicians determined early approach of teaching of medical contents to the teaching of ethical and moral contents. Medical care and education in Cuba have long tradition in the ethical and humanitarian formation of medical professionals, although certain dissatisfactions are observed at present. The objective of this was to present some reflections on the teaching and the learning of ethical and moral values, which stemmed from accumulated experiences in the Cuban medical university. Literature and documentary review was made in the domestic and regional settings. The importance of the professor as an example, the microcurricular enhancement, the formative and certified evaluation related to the ethical and moral formation of the medical students, the curricular educational work and the methodological work of the faculties were all underscored
